Since 1983 Olde News Since 1935 St. Augustine Since 1565 Ancient City Auto Club Antique Automobile Club of America October, 2018 This should be a fun evening. We’ll gather at Art ‘n’ Motion (for old timers it is where the old Cadillac dealership north of town used to be.) From the south on US 1, you travel north to SR 16 and turn right (east)—go one block and turn left (north) and the building is a short distance on the right. Parking is on the south and north of the building. When Jim Arpaia described this place to Bob and me about a month ago, we went up there, but it was closed. Then Jim, Dick Sherrod and I had the opportunity to see inside, meet Justin Felker, and enjoy the automobiles collected there. I took photos, but will hold them so you can enjoy the surprise. So, pack up a dish to pass; climb into your favorite car and come along to covered dish at Quackenbushes’ afterward. (6 o’ clock or so) Next Meeting this Thursday, October 4—See You There! Art ‘n’ Motion— Collector car Sales and Consignment - Will open its doors for us on Thursday evening at 5. 283 San Marco Avenue 904-994-5662 Justin Felker

FROM THE PRESIDENT

As we enter this beautiful fall season it’s time to think about some upcoming events, next year and how you would like to, or be willing to participate to keep our club moving forward and viable.

Starting with the upcoming car show, that will take place on November 17, again at the D& B School. We are going forward with no formal Show Chairman so again let Dewey know any function you are willing to take responsibility for. Right now Dewey is seeking candidates for the slate of officers for 2018/19. Cut down on how hard the nominating committee job is by stepping forward and let him know areas you are willing to help out with next year. ( start to see a trend here) Next the Christmas party--it has been confirmed at Amici‘s, so block the date December the sixth. This is always a fun night, good meal and the opportunity to get in a little dancing and fellowship. We appreciate your support and participation and look forward to seeing you. DICK SHERROD
