BASBALL COACH MATT SMITH

This camp is held at Prairie Center Park: Fields #1 & #2 located at 555 N. Olathe View Road. Camp 1 will focus on all aspects of baseball (hitting, infield play, out-field play, and base running) excluding pitching and catching. Camp 2 will focus on pitching/catching only. Feel free to enroll in both camps. Campers should bring their glove, spikes, sweatpants, hat, bat, a marked water bottle, and enthusiasm to learn. Catchers bring gear if you have it. Matt Smith is in his 3rd year as head coach of the Eagles after 11 years as an assistant. Coach Smith has been an instructor at these camps for the last 10 years. Instructor Matt Duncan is the varsity assistant and runs his own baseball academy is Lawrence and Gardner. He is a former Eagle and KU pitcher and will be instructing in both camps. Instruc-tor Joey Oxley was a former all conference ON catcher and will be instructing the catchers in camp 2. We will also have current and former players assisting in both camps. (4:00 pm - 6:00 pm) Grades 1-8; (6:30 pm - 9:00 pm) Grades 9-12 Cost: $25 to “Coach Jeff Walton”The Eagle summer boys’ basketball camp will focus on the FUNdamentals of basketball. Younger players will learn and apply the basics of passing, dribbling, shooting, screening, and cutting. Campers will be given individual drills and games to practice these skills on their own or with their friends. More advanced campers will be instructed in more sophisticated elements of the game. Our basic approach is for all campers to be taught the basics as well as challenged for future, individual improvement. Each camper will receive a camp t-shirt. Our goal is to challenge/enhance the fundamental skills and love of basketball for the girls in our community. Our session offers campers solid fundamental skill development in a fun, highly-structured, motivating environment where they can gain confidence through hard work. The session will run with the intensity and structure of a high school practice, but will include fun and competitive skill building activities. (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm) Grades 4-8 - Meet at Nelson Soccer FieldCost: $20 to “Olathe North Cross Country Booster Club”

Campers should come dressed to run: running shoes, shorts, and a shirt. Camp will be a mix of sprint work, distant work, team building activities, and games. Your runners will be challenged in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. Divisions will be made by grade level with appropriate work for each.We will have a race on Friday with all participants getting a race t-shirt. FOOTBALL COACH GENE WIER

Join the Olathe North Fighting Eagle football staff and players for a non-contact camp emphasizing football fundamentals. Campers should wear t-shirts, shorts, and cleats. Participants will be instructed in the drills and skills that have laid the foundation for 10 state championship appearances and 8 state championships over the last 16 years. Teams that sign up together will be able to work with each other as part of their pre-season preparation. Group activities and competitions will also take place. We will also focus on live wrestling, endurance, and most importantly the fun that you will have in the North wrestling program. TENNIS COACH WENDY ROBINSONMonday, June 18thth - Thursday, June 21stth

(12:45 pm - 2:15 pm) Grades 3-7 (2:15 pm - 3:45 pm) Grades 8-12 Cost: $40 to “Coach Wendy Robinson”Improve your skills in this lifetime sport during tennis camp. We will focus on the fundamentals of tennis with plenty of instruction and fun activities. Players of all ability levels are welcome. Campers will need to provide a racket, bring water, and wear non-marking tennis shoes. Each camper will receive a t-shirt. Registration deadline is May 22nd. She has put together an excellent and knowledgeable coaching staff, including current & former players and other area high school & premier coaches for an informative & fun camp. Camp will stress the basics of soccer in a fun yet competitive setting! 3 great camps to choose from: MINI KICKERS for players age 4-6 with little or no previous soccer experience. Come learn about the sport & how to play it! LITTLE KICKERS for players ages 6-8 with some soccer experience. KICKERS for players ages 8-12 for the most advanced of the 3 camps.
