Worldwide Manufacturing Expertise

Being one of the largest integrated electrical solution providers with its head office located in Mumbai, India and more than twenty high-class manufacturing locations throughout the sub-continent, CG established its international manufacturing foot-print in the year 2005 by acquisition of the Belgium based Pauwels Group, which gave CG additional manufacturing facilities for Power and Distribution transformers at Belgium, Ireland, USA, Canada, and Indonesia.

Distribution and Power Transformers

CG has built for itself a worldwide reputation for using the most advanced technology and the highest

production standards, as one of the leading manufacturers of power and distribution transformers.

CG is one of the very few companies worldwide, that designs and manufactures such a wide range of

Power and Distribution Transformers as well as Reactors from 160kVA to 600MVA, and 11kV to 765 kV

Class, conforming to IEC, ANSI, IS, BS and other International Standards.

CG USA manufactures three-phase pole-type, pad-mounted, unit substation, and SLIM® transformers up

to 5MVA and primary and secondary unit substation, Generator Step-up, distribution and transmission

network transformers up to 60MVA. All transformers can be made to ANSI / IEEE-standards, CSA

standards and IEC standards where required.

Transformer for Safe and Hazardous Areas

CG offers a wide range of high and low voltage rotating machines. The range in-cludes safe and hazardous area motors, energy efficient motors, as well as motors for special applications like brake motor, re-rolling mill, cement mill, oil well pump etc. Our range also includes DC Motors and Traction motors. Our motors are avail-able in various standards and customized configurations to respond to the exacting demands of the industry.

A wide range of AC & DC generators (alternators) are manufactured by CG, both brushless and slip ring type. Our single-phase alternators are designed to meet the customer requirements in remote as well as urban areas for uninterrupted power supply. Our AC Brushless generators incorporate advanced European technology and are designed for optimum performance either 2 or 4 pole. Our compact Slip Ring alternators are popular in agro industries. We also offer laminated yoke DC Generators up to 2000 kW.

Motors, Generator, Drives and Automation solutions

CG is a specialist in turnkey substation projects up to 765 kV. These projects for large industrial customers as well as for major electricity utilities have built up an important reference list in the turnkey construction of both AIS and GIS substations in many countries around the world. Beside this, we completed several rural electri-fication projects as well as HV transmission lines substation projects.

The ‘Calix’ series has been designed to provide compact, reliable switching & protection solutions for MV distribution network. With over 50,000 VCB’s in operation globally, this time-tested product is in service from 1986, fully type tested in compliance with IEC 62271 -100/200

HV Gas Insulated Switchgear

The GT01 type SF6 Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) is a three-phase enclosed compact design, rated for 145kV including the following main equipment: Puffer assisted self-blast circuit breaker with spring drive, combined disconnec-tor, and earthing switch with motor drive, high speed earthing switch with motor charged spring drive, current and voltage transformers and surge arrester. The enclosure is constructed from corrosion resistant aluminium alloy in welded or in cast construction.

Automation Systems

The business of CG Automation Systems forms an integral part of the Power Systems Strategic Business Unit of CG. The primary operations of the Automation Systems business are based in the Ireland, UK and the USA.

CG Automation is an established provider of high-performance, real-time, substa-tion control and automation solutions for the Oil & Gas sector as well as the global transmission & distribution market.

We provide solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of individual customers based on open solutions allowing customers to choose “best in class” product. Our products and solutions support retrofit applications and allow the integration of legacy systems with emerging standard products.

Over the last 25 years CG Automation Systems has developed an extensive know-ledge and capacity in the development of industry standard and legacy protocols, including Modbus, IEC60870-5 and DNP3 to name a few. In addition CG Automa-tion Systems is experienced in the delivery of solutions to the latest emerging industry standards IEC 61850.

Automation Systems

Our aim is to deliver complete customer satisfaction by providing project manage-ment, engineering, training and field services to support a system from incep-tion to completion. All of CG Automation Systems solutions are ISO 9001:2008 accredited.

Due to the high technical nature of the industries we are involved in, we are con-scious of the needs of clients to ensure their personnel are efficient and competent in the operation of the equipment that is being installed. To this end, we offer a wide range of training courses, structured in accordance with the requirements and needs of the client. These courses can be undertaken within CG or at the client’s installation.
