Staff NEEDED: Eucharistic Adorers

"The Church and the world have a great need of eucharistic worship. Jesus waits for us in this sacrament of love. May our adoration never cease." -Pope St. John Paul II We are still in need of people who are able to commit an hour each week in order to keep eucharistic adoration available at our parish. Persons needed for these hours: Wednesday from 3:00-4:00 PM Friday from 9:00-10:00 AM Contact persons: Bev Thom (833-5854) or Tammy Larson (720-5392). On Sunday, October 3rd, from 12 pm-3 pm, St. Leo's will be hosting a rummage sale in the old gymnasium. The sale will consist of religious artifacts, tables, chairs, and so on. Items can be purchased through a goodwill donation. All proceeds will go to the Church and its mission.

Unified Holy Hours for the Priests St John Vianney said: The priest holds the key to the treasures of heaven: it is he who opens the door….The priest is not a priest for himself, he is a priest for you."

Beginning on Monday evening September 6 (Labor Day) and continuing weekly on Mondays from 7-8 pm at St Leo’s, the Catholic community of Minot is invited to join in a Holy Hour of unified prayer for all Priests.

We will pray a group Rosary, Chaplet of Divine Mercy, litanies, hymns and other readings and prayers during the Holy Hour as a way to multiply our heartfelt prayers in Our Lord’s Presence.

We are taught by St Louis DeMontfort “Somebody who says his Rosary alone only gains the merit of one Rosary, but if he says it together with thirty other people he gains the merit of thirty Rosaries. This is the law of public prayer.”

The Diocese of Bismarck has an opening for a full-time Parish Services Accountant II. The individual in this position will perform accounting and payroll functions for the Office of Parish Services department within the Office of Fiscal and Properties Management under the direction of the Manager of Parish Services. This position will be primarily responsible for providing support for parish centralized payroll and all accounting related functions, also assists with educational or training sessions on financial and risk control topics including the areas of budget preparation, payroll issues, accounting, internal controls, tax, and best business practices and works closely with diocesan staff to support parishes in the fiscal areas. In addition, this position will provide assistance and support, as assigned, to the Internal Audit staff on special pro-jects and parish reviews. Due to the sensitive nature of the workings of this office, confidentiality is an essential requirement of the position. Must be fully supportive of and have an overall knowledge and understanding of the Catholic Church teaching and project a faith-filled presence required. Education and Experience: A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting is required and two or more years’ experience of progressive experience in accounting (with preference in the areas of payroll and not-for-profit accounting).
