Welcome to North Park Covenant Church online! We’re glad you’re here.

For your prayers this week: Janette Smith, diagnosed with breast cancer and undergoing surgery on Tuesday, October 26; 17 American and Canadian missionaries in Haiti, kidnapped last week; Herb Hedstrom, experiencing fatigue due to low red blood count; Marti Hindaileh’s godson, Bran-don, 38, suffering from heart failure and awaiting a transplant; Rosemary Slaughter’s friend John, relieved to learn he does not have cancer; Eileen Thorpe, undergoing immunotherapy treatments; Connie Speake, continuing to recuperate at home; Terri Njaa’s daughter Kari Hutson, whose recent endoscopy revealed an esophageal stricture; Afghanistan, where poverty and hunger have worsened since the Taliban’s takeover; Karawa Central Pharmacy in Congo, rebuilding after a lightning strike

It’s time once again to purchase Christmas greens, the proceeds from which support the Youth Ministry program at NPCC. Please fill out this order form. All orders must be submitted by Tuesday, November 9, 2021. The date for delivery has yet to be determined, but you will be notified as soon as possible. Payments can be made online via this form, or by cash or check in person. Additionally, you will be able to place your order in person after worship today. If you have questions, please reach out to Pastor Libby at [email protected].

Sunday, November 7, is All Saints’ Sunday. As is our tradition, we invite you to bring a photo of a loved one who is no longer with us to be placed at the front of the sanctuary that morning.

Continue Heartwalking the Neighborhood with us! See this week’s location at the right. Thank you for praying for our community!

Peterson Elementary School has recently reached out asking for some assistance for two Afghani refugee families in the neighborhood. Using some of your generous donations to the benevolence fund, NPCC has already purchased some clothing for them, but more is needed. If you are willing to pur-chase new or have gently used clothing, would you please get those items to Pastor Libby as soon as you are able? A list of the needed items is below: - 6-year-old girl: shoe size 12, 6/6X or S clothes - 8-year-old girl: shoe size 1, 8 or M clothes - 10-year-old boys (2): shoe size 6.5, M or L clothes - 15-year-old boy: shoe size 8, M or L clothes - Adult females (2): M, L, or XL clothes - Adult males (2): L or XL clothes

The Alliance for Health Equity is conducting a Community Health Needs Assessment. This assessment includes an anonymous, five-minute survey that asks about your community health priorities and the impact COVID has had on you and your family. The survey is intended for residents of Chicago and suburban Cook County and is open to all ages. To participate in the survey, please click here. To learn more, please visit www.allhealthequity.org.

On Sunday, October 31, we will hold our annu-al Halloween Hot Chocolate Stand on the cor-ner of Christiana and Berwyn. We’ll be there from 4 to 7 pm, all masked up and socially distanced, so stop by and take a break from trick or treating to say hello and grab a safe, prepared cup of hot cocoa. Church Calendar This Week The calendar is available online at www.npcovenant.org/calendar and is updated as changes occur.

Our Mission Statement We welcome all people to begin or deepen their relationship with Christ through worship and study. We invite all believers to fully participate in the life and ministry of our church as members, leaders,

and lay staff. We celebrate the gifts and presence of diverse Christians among us—whether those differences be race, ethnicity, age, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability,

or socioeconomic status. We are blessed by our diversity and are unified in Christ.
