Japanese

classes

Japanese classes are held in the weekly course.

The weekly course is focused on communicative

practice of useful phrases which you want to use

in everyday life. Students are from many different

countries and you will enjoy cultural exchange

with using Japanese that you have been taught in

class.

What kind of people are studying in the weekly course?

What levels are available?

There are variety of levels; from total beginners

level up to advanced level. If you have studied

Japanese previously, you can start from any Mon-

day. In this case, you are placed in a proper level

according to the result of a test and an oral test.

For total beginners, you can start either from July

2nd (Mon.) or July 30th (Mon.).

What materials are used in class?

As its unique curriculum, we publish our own text-

books rather than using ready-made books. You

can study by yourself after going back to your

country!

To fulfill your time in Japan, we organize many activi-

ties after class and in the weekends. School staffs and

Japanese supporters will help you to understand Japa-

nese cultures. It’s a good chance to practice your Japa-

nese!

1. Japanese drums： Never played Japanese drums? Don’t worry! We practice together.

2. Overnight Onsen Trip： Enjoy Japanese style dinner and onsen (hot spring) with all of the IIJ

students (about 500) !

1. Maid Cafe： Let’s feel “Moe~” in Akihabara!

2. Tokyo Tower ~ The candle-night： We celebrate Tanabata at Tokyo Tower.

3. Yukata： Put on your favourite colour of Yukata and take them to home!

4. Edo-style dying： Dyeing a tote bag with a natural dye.

5. Harajuku： Let’s take a Instagenic picture in a popular area!

6. Tea ceremony： One of the Must-Do’s when you are in Japan.

In case the course couldn’t be made due to less than the minimum numbers of applicant, it will be cancelled and the fees for the course and the accommodation fees which the school arranged will be refunded in full amount. However, we will not take any responsibilities on the cancellation fees such as flight tickets.

Cancellation due to your personal reasons, cancellation fee is charged as follows;

A) 30~8 days before the course starts:

30% of the accommodation fee which the school arranged.

B) 7~ 2 days before the course starts:

50% of the course fee and the activity fees, and 50% of the accommodation fee which the

school arranged.

C) 1 day ~ on the day the course starts:

100% of the course fee and the activity fees, and 100% of the accommodation fee which the

school arranged.

D) The course fee will not be refunded for the cancellation after the course starts and in the

middle of the course.

As a part of our publicity activities, we take your photos and shoot videos. They shall be posted on

our homepage, Facebook and other school products for promotion. It is greatly appreciated for

your understanding and cooperation in this matter.
