Introduction:

Economic Development within Ocala-Marion County is provided in partnership between the City of Ocala, the EDC, and the County.

The Department is responsible for coordinating the City’s participation in the partnership.

The Department coordinates citywide economic development activities in accord with the City’s Economic Development Plan and facilitates investment decisions through the Economic Investment Program. .

The Department also facilitates airport non-aviation development, the enterprise zone, community redevelopment area(s), and downtown redevelopment.
