1. Providearobust,creative,andinclusiveoutreachprocessforallpopulationswithintheregion,withopportunitiestoengageinmeaningfuldiscussionsbetweenNYMTCandthepublicabouttransportationplanningissues.
2. Educatethepublicsotheycanpurposefullyparticipate,knowwhentoprovideinput,andbeencouragedtodosoby:
• Adoptingstrategictechniquestoinvolvedifferentaudiences;and
• DevelopingagreaterunderstandingofhowNYMTCfunctionsasanorganizationandtherolesandresponsibilitiesofCouncilmembersandstaff.
