PureCircle Alpha is a proprietary combination of steviol glycosides formed in the plant Stevia Rebaudiana Bertoni. The taste profile is optimised to provide food and beverage producers with a stevia based sweetener for products with no added sugar or +50% reduced calories. PureCircle Alpha is 250-350 times sweeter than sugar, depending on dosage and application type.

Facilitating well tasting zero and reduced calorie product formulations PureCircle Alpha is a mix of selected sweet steviol glycoside molecules present in the stevia leaves. Aproximately 75% of Alpha is the glycoside Reabudioside A with the rest being a taste optimised selection of the10 EU approved glycosides. By combining different steviol glycosides the typical stevia bitter and liqourice off notes are minimised.

Naturally produced from the stevia plant by PureCircle PureCircle’s Alpha follows a sustainable and transparent process. Independent and educated farmers cultivate non-GMO feedstocks by safe and high-yield growing techniques. The sweet steviol glycoside molecules are extracted from the dried stevia leaves and purified in processes quite similar to the way sugar is extracted and purified from sugar beet and sugar cane. PureCircle’s facilities are ISO 22000 & 9001, HACCP, GMP, Halal and Kosher certified. Carbon and Water footprints are available.

Sweetness and taste
