Achievements

During April 2011

1) Safety seminars and campaigns were organized in JP-SWM section at BNLW station and nearby area, ISA station, school, Gram Panchayat, Market, Taxi stand and SAS station, LC-63, school, Gram Panchayat, market and taxi stand of SAS area. In these campaigns about 1600 pamphlets were distributed to public and road users to pass UMLCs and about 1600 public and road users were counseled.

2) CRS sanction for raising of speed over turnouts & loop line in MD-FL-JP (Dn.) line obtained during the month.

3) One JTBS at Jaipur has been appointed during the month in addition to the total 47 JTBS already working in the division.

4) A safety seminar conducted in Coach care complex Jaipur on date 30.04.2011 attended by 50 nos. C & W supervisors and officers. HQ officers also attended the seminar. Subject of seminar was wheel and wagon defect.

5) 10 court cases are decided during the month in the favour of Railway Administration.

During May 2011

1) The second line between KRH-AWR section has been commissioned on 15.05.2011 for traffic after NI working.

2) The work of doubling between AWR-KRH was not executed/completed by construction department according to the TWO. This adversely affected the trains operations and resulted in loss of punctuality of 63 BG M/Express trains (including 31 MR’s trains) & 38 Passenger trains.

3) The Gross earning of the division was 45.65 Cr. In the month of April 2011 which was 13.19% higher than the same month of the previous year. PEI of division was 90.95 in the month of April 2011 against the 112.0 during the same month of the previous year.

4) Earning from Ticket Checking, during April 2011, has been Rs. 47.17 lacs as compared to Rs. 38.55 lacs of April 2010 (an improvement of 22.36%).

5) To control expenditure on fuel a joint procedure order by Mechanical and Operating department for Lie over & en-route loco shut down was issued. Lie over shut down hrs. of Jaipur station during the month was 1763.85 which was 77.61% more than last month.

6) On the occasion of, All India Engineering Entrance examination (AIIEEE) held at Jaipur and other locations on 01.05.2011, a special train was run between Jaipur and Kota, to facilitate the movement of students. A total of 33764 passengers were booked and earnings ` 26.61 lacs realized on 01.05.2011, which was 74% higher than the normal traffic of Jaipur station.

7) 07 court cases were decided during the month in the favour of Railway Administration.

During June 2011

1) The second line between KRH-HSI section has been commissioned on 16.06.2011 for traffic after NI working.

2) In this month on International Level Crossing Awareness Day (ILCAD), a seven days special safety drive targeting safety at unmanned level crossings was launched from 9.6.11 to 15.6.11. In this drive following activities were organized:

(i) Distribution of safety pamphlets 1600(ii) Distribution of safety stickers 250(iii) Distribution of safety posters 140(iv) Showing of cinema slides 4(v) Organization of Nukkad Nataks at UMLCs, Gram Panchayats, Markets, and patrol pumps 14(vi) Messages sent to road users through SMS 6250 (vii) Advertisement in media/news papers 6(vii) Ambush checks by Officers and Supervisors 205(ix) Organizations of Safety seminars 14

Each campaign organized during this period has got mass publicity and has been appreciated by media. The news of the campaigns/ Nukkad Natak were also got place in different local news papers.

3) New WTT & PTT has been successfully updated in time on COA & PAM systems through ICMS.

4) 70 trains has been speeded up by Jaipur division after commissioning of doubling at MD-BKI & AWR-HSI sections.

5) Five Permanent Speed Restrictions (2 in RPC & 3 in JP-SIKR section) have been relaxed to normal and 2 Level Crossing gates (no. 23 & 24) were manned in RPC section during the month.

During July 2011

1) Manning of LC No. 112 in RPC & L.C No. 44 in JP-SWM section was done during the month.

2) In this month two mock drills were organized on 28.07.2011 of SPARME Jaipur and on 30.07.2011 of ARME Rewari. The mock drills were successfully conducted. All the equipments of both the medical vans checked and tested by concerned officers.

3) Kanakpura station has been unified to issue both UTS and PRS tickets w.ef. 09.07.2011.

4) Two Mela Special trains were run between AWR and MTJ from 14.07.2011 to 17.07.2011 on the occasion of Jai Guru Dev Mela at MTJ and Mudia Poornima Mela at Govardhan. Another Mela special train was run between BKI-MTJ from 10.07.2011 to 18.07.2011.

5) The frequency of train no. 12940/12939 JP-PUNE-JP S/F has been increased from weekly to bi-weekly w.e.f. 02.07.2011

6) Train no. 12984/12983 CDG-JP-CDG Garib rath Express has been extended upto Ajmer w.e.f. 01.07.2011.

7) Safety campaigns were organized at 11 Nos of places including Petrol Pumps, markets, Schools, Bus Stands and Level Crossing gates.

During August 2011

1) A special safety drive was launched as per directives of CRB to prevent accident at Unmanned Level crossing in which following activities were organized.

1. Inspection of UMLC and campaign to council public by officers.

2. Prabhat pheri & safety campaigns by PWI’s and safety counselors.

3. To send SMS to frequent road users residing near UMLC.

4. Ambush check to check whistling habits of loco pilots while passing UMLC.

5. Ambush Joint check by RPF & GRP at UMLC.

2) Freight Loading in the month of August, 2011 was 134.6 wagons per day against the target of 105 wagons per day.

i. Cumulative Loading upto August 2011 was 107.9 wagons/day against 82.4 wagons/day upto corresponding period of last year i.e. 30.90% improvement over last year.

ii. The container loading improved from 58.06 wagon/day during last year to 122.13 wagons/day in August 2011 i.e. improvement of 110.35%. Similarly loading of BCN rakes (mix traffic) from Alwar & Kanakpura has also improved from 10.29 wagons/day to 12.52 wagons/day in August 2011 i.e. improvement by 21.57%.

3) ROB in lieu of Level Crossing no. 57 on DLI-RE section has been commissioned during the month.

4) Eight Level Crossings were manned during the month out of which Six Level Crossings (LC no. 8,19,26,38,57 & 63) are in RPC section & Two Level Crossings (L.C No. 17 &58) are in JP-SWM section.

5) Two Mela Special trains were run between JP and SWM from 30.08.2011 to 02.09.2011 on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi Mela at SWM & composition of 59805/59806 JP-BXN-JP passenger and 09733/09734 HMH-KOTA-HMH was increased by 2GS for the period 30.08.2011 to 02.09.2011.

6) There has been considerable reduction in signal failure (31%).

During September 2011

3) Two Safety seminars have been organized at Jaipur Coach Care Complex & Diesel Shed Phulera on 24.09.2011 & 26.09.2011 respectively.

4) New crew lobby has been commissioned at Jaipur Station with all facilities viz. modular furniture, Rest room facility, Safety posters etc.1.4

5) M/s IOCL has installed a VHF system with base station at JP RDI to facilitate communication between fueling points in yards and RDI. M/s IOCL has commissioned this system for the very first time over NWR.

6) On the occasion of, examination held for the post of Patwari at Jaipur and other locations on 25.09.2011 special trains were run between JP & MJ and BHL & JP, to facilitate the movement of students.

HQ letter no. NWR/HQ/Safety/Safety Seminar dated 16.09.2011 at Ringas & Sikar on 19.10.2011 & 21.10.2011 respectively.

3) These Seminars were attended by LP’s/ALP’s/LocoShunters/SM’s/ASM’s/ Guards with Shunting Jamadar & Pointsman. All the staff were educated about shunting rules and counseled to avoid the accidents occurring due to negligence in shunting operations. Signal staff and commercial staff were also present in safety seminar.

4) Nukkad Natak was organized at RGS in the main market on date 19.10.11

5) Safety seminar organized at SIKR on date 21.10.11 at station premises which got wide publicity in local news papers.

6) IRS type single line Token-less block instrument provided between Baisgodam-Durgapura in place of NBT.

7) New traffic of DOC has been developed at Alwar Goods shed in BCN rakes for Mumbai area. Till date 5 rakes has been loaded.

During November 2011Parliamentary standing committee inspected Jaipur station on 15.11.2011. In

the above inspections, cleanliness performance of Jaipur station was appreciated.

1.2 New train 19709/19710 JP-KYQ-JP (weekly) Kavi Guru Express has been introduced w.e.f. 14.11.2011. Regular weekly train service has start from 17.11.2011 ex. Kamakhya & 21.11.2011 ex. Jaipur.

1.3 New washable apron has been commissioned at Jaipur station on Line no. 1 (P/F no. 1) w.e.f. 10.11.2011. Line no. 1 has also been made fit for goods trains.

1.4 In Indian Railway, Jaipur Division is the first to insert RUB with pre cast box segments on double line section in a single block. On Level Crossing no. 94 RE-BKI section RUB has been constructed in 2.5 hours single line working and 5 hours block on both lines.

1.5 7 Nos. of RUB including 4 Nos. in MG section were constructed during the month.

1.6 Throughput of the month was 5375 wagons per day (best ever). It was 4421 wagons per day in November, 2010. It has improved by 21.58% in comparison to November, 2010. Cumulative throughput up to November, 2011 was 4862 which is 15.21% higher than the throughput achieved during corresponding period of last year.

1.7 3 more JTBS (JP, RE & SMPR) have been appointed during the month, in addition to 48 JTBS already working, taking the total to 51 JTBS.

1.8 As per Railway Board scheme “ Mushkil Aasan”, The facility of PRS (Reservations) through a mobile van moving in different areas/localities in Jaipur City has been introduced w.e.f. 12.11.2011 as per program already circulated.

1.9 3 SLRs and 01 AGC have been leased out for parcel traffic during the month, in addition to the 10 SLRs already leased out.

1.10 As per directives of CRB a special safety drive/2011 is underway to prevent accident at Unmanned Level Crossings starting from August 2011. The following activities are being organized during the Safety Drive:

1.10.1 Inspection of UMLC and campaign taken up by Officers/Supervisors to counsel public.

1.10.2 Seminars, Prabhat Pheries & Safety Campaigns were organized. 1.10.3 SMSs were sent to frequent road users residing near UMLC. 1.10.4 Ambush check were conducted to check whistling habits of loco

pilots while passing UMLC.

1.11 The safety campaign was taken up by Sr. DSO & all Safety counselors at unmanned/manned Level Crossing gates no. 114 between GND-COM), 121,123,125,127 & 128 between BDHL-PCMK) stations to educate road users including school buses drivers and students about correct procedure and rules to cross Railway level crossing. About 80 students and 70 road users were counseled & 150 pamphlets were distributed.

1.12 Fog Safe Devices are being used in trains in JP-RE section. These devices are being distributed and collected from loco pilots at RE & AWR to make more devices available for use.

1.13 One unmanned level crossing ( LC No. 144 in RPC section) has been manned during the month. With this total 17 Nos. Unmanned LC’s has been manned during this year so far.

1.14 A fixture to load/unload wheels to/from truck at road side stations has been developed in house by C&W staff. This device has made wheel changing at site very convenient & speedy.

1.15 Intensive cleaning of coaches with IOH started during the month in sick line. Till date 29 coaches have been renovated by giving paint touch up & internal intensive cleaning.

During December 2011

1.1 “OPEN ADALAT” was organized at Rewari on 13.12.2011 successfully. Out of 41 cases, 25 cases were solved on same day.

1.2 “Pension Adalat” was held successfully on 15.12.2011 at DRM office. Out of 202 representation, 190 were resolved on same day.

1.3 KRIL siding work at Pali has been completed and engine rolled on 19.12.2011.

1.4 Freight Loading in the month of December, 2011 was 109.45 wagons per day against the target of 105 wagons per day.

Cumulative Loading upto December 2011 was 106.66 wagons/day against 89.76 wagons/day upto corresponding period of last year i.e. 18.83% improvement over last year.

The container loading improved from 79.81 wagon/day to 93.18 wagons/day upto December 2011 i.e. improvement of 16.75%. Similarly loading of BCN rakes (mix traffic) from Alwar & Kanakpura has also improved from 9.95 wagons/day to 13.57 wagons/day upto December 2011 i.e. improvement by 35.48%.

1.5 Average terminal detention of freight trains reduced considerably at KKU, AWR, KORI, BAGA & NNL in comparison to corresponding period of previous year. Average terminal detention at BAGA, KKU, KORI & NNL reduced by 56.82%, 33.3%, 24.68% & 20.06% respectively in comparison to corresponding period of previous year.

1.6 Launching of RCC box segments for construction of limited height subway in lieu of 6 Nos. level crossings (LC no. 254,282 & 309) in SIKR-LHU section & (LC no. 49, 50 & 56) in SIKR-CUR section done during the month.

1.7 Two level crossing on BKI-JP section (LC no. 213 & 214) were upgraded during the month with this total 21 Nos. level crossing upgraded during the year.

1.8 1 no. of unmanned level crossing (LC no. 11 in SWM-JP section) has been manned during the month. With this total 18 Nos. unmanned LC’s has been manned during the year.

1.9 Level crossing no. 28 on FL-MD section has been closed by construction of ROB during the month.

1.11 The safety campaigns were organized on 05.12.11 by Safety Counselor (Traffic) and Safety Counselor (S&T) at LC Gate no 92T and 89E between DKBJ-NDH to educate the road users about correct procedure and rules to cross Railway level crossing, About 135 road users were counseled & 210 pamphlets were distributed.

The Safety campaigns were organized on 23.12.11 by Safety Counselor (Traffic) , Safety Counselor (C&W), Safety Counselor (S&T) at petrol pump and taxi stand near NDH. Near about 150 road users were counseled regarding precautions to be taken while crossing the manned and unmanned level crossing gates and 125 pamphlets were distributed.

1.12 “Karmchari Shivir” organized from 03.12.2011 to 08.12.2011 at Goa, in which 59 staff participated.

1.13 11 court cases were decided during the month. All cases were decided in favour of Railway Administration.
