I’ve been attending BIXPO every year, but BIXPO 2018 was another big success. Startups, as well as largecompanies such as Siemens or GE, participated. You might have seen conventional power companies whilewitnessing companies in the fields of IoT, smart grid, blockchain, and cybersecurity. Numerous conferencesheld in other countries, including the US, focus on certain areas including distribution technology and solarpower. BIXPO 2018, however, showcased energy transition in more integrated manners as KEPCO hasbeen pursuing. KEPCO and South Korea, in general, are leading areas such as digital industries, sensors, IoT, and blockchain. Even though Korea is leading in many areas, it can still learn something about customers. That is whyBIXPO is held on an international scale to introduce all the expertise from all over the world. BIXPO is not forKorean manufacturers only: the event is genuinely global, and thus unrivaled.
