What is the Zero G weightless experience?

ZERO G is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to fly like a superhero and

float like an astronaut. You will train with an expert coach onboard our

specially modified Boeing 727 aircraft, G-Force One, and experience

what was previously only available to a few elite astronauts.

Once we reach altitude, you and your colleagues will leave your

seats and enter the specially designed floating area — a large open

expanse of the cabin designed specially for floating. You lie down on

the padded floor, and, as the plane flies each parabola you become

weightless, lifting effortlessly off into the air. This is not simulated in

any way…this is true weightlessness.

Those who have experienced zero gravity call it “amazing” and

“life changing” — a rapturous feeling of utter freedom, relaxing and

zen-like; an exalted state of bliss where the impossible becomes real.

Astronauts fly parabolic flight to train for spaceflight. Tom Hanks

did it, to film Apollo 13. Professor Stephen Hawking flew with us

to experience his dream. CEOs, teenagers, grandmothers and

supermodels have flown. It is an experience that speaks to the

ageless spirit inside each of us.

the zero weightless experience

What about schedule and itinerary? The entire experience takes about 3 to 4 hours, starting with the pre-flight training and ending with the celebratory champagne toast. We offer our charter customers the ability to customize the experience, and great flexibility in the location of ground training and the flight. Most importantly, Zero G will work to ensure this is the experience of a lifetime.

Check in Enjoy some refreshments and become acquainted with each other.

PreFlight Get your flight suit and view our required orientation and safety video, and meet your coaches.

Transit Ground transport from the Zero G Training Lounge to the airport.

Security Get screened and board G-Force One.

Fly To AltitudeThe plane takes off. After 30-45 minutes of flying to the right altitude, participants enter the floating area and prepare for fun.

The Zero GExperienceUp to fifteen 30-second periods of reduced gravity and weightlessness, totaling about 7 minutes of reduced gravity for the whole flight.

Regravitation Return to your seats and share in the afterglow.

What’s is a “parabolic arc”?The plane flies a trajectory that resembles a sequence of gently rolling hills. You don’t feel the aircraft rise or descend, all you feel is weightlessness. The flight takes place between 24,000 and 32,000 feet altitude, the same altitude you fly during normal commercial flights.

Is it safe?Safety is Zero G’s number one objective, followed closely by your enjoyment. Our flights are approved by the FAA and operate at the FAA’s highest levels of safety (Part-121) the same as American or Southwest Airlines. We have proudly flown over 3,000 individuals and have welcomed back many who have flown time and time again.

Is it fun?It is the very definition of fun. It will change your entire frame of reference for fun. You are given a ticket to another world. Your entire perspective is changed. You’re upside down, your friends are tilted every which way, and reality is completely transcended. In that sense, it transcends fun. You enter the domain of joy. And it’s not just joyful because you can try a back flip in mid-air, or fly like Superman, but also because you are introduced to new levels of peace and serenity. Some people have actually had tears well up because of the beauty of the experience.

Is this really how astronauts train? For the past 45 years NASA has trained all of its astronauts on their zero gravity parabolic aircraft. This is the only way to experience true weightlessness this side of space. Now, private space explorers are “floating” with us to train for their upcoming missions. If you’re eventually interested in flying into space aboard a private sub-orbital or orbital mission, you may first want to float with us. During your Zero G flight you’ll experience about 7 minutes of total reduced gravity, about the same length as America’s first Astronaut Alan Shepard experienced on board Mercury in 1961.

Return To Earth Enjoy light snacks and a champagne toast with your fellow flyers.

In April 2007, Zero G flew the world famous physicist Professor Stephen Hawking into weightlessness. Free from his wheelchair for the first time in 40 years, Professor Hawking had a remarkable experience and proved that parabolic flight is safe and comfortable for nearly everyone.
