It came upon the midnight clear,That glorious song of old,From angels bending near the earth,To touch their harps of gold:“Peace on the earth, goodwill to menFrom Heaven’s all gracious King!”The world in solemn stillness layTo hear the angels sing.

Still through the cloven skies they come,With peaceful wings unfurled;And still their heavenly music floatsO’er all the weary world:Above its sad and lowly plainsThey bend on hovering wing,And ever o’er its Babel soundsThe blessed angels sing.

O ye beneath life’s crushing load,Whose forms are bending low,Who toil along the climbing wayWith painful steps and slow;Look now, for glad and golden hoursCome swiftly on the wing;Oh rest beside the weary roadAnd hear the angels sing.

For lo! the days are hastening on,By prophets seen of old,When with the ever-circling yearsShall come the time foretold,When the new heaven and earth shall ownThe Prince of Peace, their King,And the whole world send back the songWhich now the angels sing.

Jingle BellsDashing through the snowOn a one-horse open sleigh,Over the fields we go,Laughing all the way;Bells on bob-tail ring,making spirits bright,What fun it is to ride and singA sleighing song tonight, O

Jingle bells, jingle bells,jingle all the way!O what fun it is to rideIn a one-horse open sleigh (repeat)

A day or two ago,I thought I’d take a ride,And soon Miss Fanny BrightWas seated by my side;The horse was lean and lank;Misfortune seemed his lot;He got into a drifted bank,And we, we got upsot.O

The First NoelThe rst Noel, the angel

did say,Was to certain poor

shepherds in  elds as they lay;

In elds where they lay keeping their sheep,

On a cold winter’s night that was so deep.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,Born is the King of

Israel.

They looked up and saw a star

Shining in the the East, beyond them far;

And to the earth it gave great light,

And so it continued both day and night.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,Born is the King of

Israel.

And by the light of that same star,

Three wise men came from country far;

To seek for a King was

their intent,And to follow the star

wherever it went.Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,Born is the King of

Israel.

This star drew night to the northwest,

O’er Bethlehem it took its rest;

And there it did both stop and stay,

Right over the place where Jesus lay.

Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel,Born is the King of

Israel.

Then entered in those wise men three,

Full reverently upon their knee;

And offered there in his presence,

Their gold, and myrrh, and frankincense.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful,But the re is so delightful,And since we’ve no place to go,Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

It doesn’t show signs of stopping,And I brought some corn for

When we nally say good night,How I’ll hate going out in the storm;But if you really hold me tight,All the way home I’ll be warm.

The re is slowly dying,And, my dear, we’re still good-bye-

ing,But as long as you love me so.Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer

You know Dasher and DancerAnd Prancer and Vixen,Comet and CupidAnd Donner and Blitzen.But do you recallThe most famous reindeer of all?

Rudolph the red-nosed reindeerHad a very shiny noseAnd if you ever saw itYou would even say it glowsAll of the other reindeerUsed to laugh and call him namesThey never let poor RudolphPlay in any reindeer games

Then one foggy Christmas EveSanta came to sayRudolph with your nose so brightWon’t you guide my sleigh tonight?Then all the reindeer loved himAnd they shouted out with glee“Rudolph the red-nosed reindeerYou’ll go down in history!”

God Rest Ye Merry GentlemenGod rest ye merry,

gentlemenLet nothing you dismayRemember, Christ, our

SaviourWas born on Christmas dayTo save us all from Satan’s

powerWhen we were gone astrayO tidings of comfort and

joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

In Bethlehem, in Israel,This blessed Babe was bornAnd laid within a mangerUpon this blessed mornThe which His Mother

MaryDid nothing take in scornO tidings of comfort and

joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

From God our Heavenly Father

A blessed Angel came;And unto certain ShepherdsBrought tidings of the same:How that in Bethlehem was

bornThe Son of God by Name.O tidings of comfort and

joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

“Fear not then,” said the Angel,

“Let nothing you affright,This day is born a SaviourOf a pure Virgin bright,To free all those who trust

in HimFrom Satan’s power and

might.”O tidings of comfort and

joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

The shepherds at those tidings

Rejoiced much in mind,And left their flocks

a-feedingIn tempest, storm and wind:And went to Bethlehem

straightwayThe Son of God to find.O tidings of comfort and

joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

And when they came to Bethlehem

Where our dear Saviour lay,They found Him in a

manger,Where oxen feed on hay;His Mother Mary kneeling

down,Unto the Lord did pray.O tidings of comfort and

joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

Now to the Lord sing praises,

All you within this place,And with true love and

brotherhoodEach other now embrace;This holy tide of ChristmasAll other doth deface.O tidings of comfort and

joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

Frosty the SnowmanFrosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,With a corncob pipe and a button noseand two eyes made out of coal.Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,He was made of snow but the childrenknow how he came to life one day.There must have been some magic inThat old silk hat they found.For when they placed it on his headhe began to dance around.O, Frosty the snowmanwas alive as he could be,And the children say he could laughand play just the same as you and me.Thumpetty thump thump,thumpety thump thump,Look at Frosty go.Thumpetty thump thump,thumpety thump thump,Over the hills of snow.

Frosty the snowman knewthe sun was hot that day,So he said, “Let’s run andwe’ll have some funnow before I melt away.”Down to the village,with a broomstick in his hand,Running here and there allaround the square saying,Catch me if you can.He led them down the streets of townright to the traffic cop.And he only paused a moment whenhe heard him holler “Stop!”For Frosty the snow manhad to hurry on his way,But he waved goodbye saying,“Don’t you cry,I’ll be back again some day.”Thumpetty thump thump,thumpety thump thump,Look at Frosty go.Thumpetty thump thump,thumpety thump thump,Over the hills of snow.

O’ Christmas Tree

O’ Christmas Tree

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree! How are thy leaves so verdant!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,How are thy leaves so verdant!

Not only in the summertime,But even in winter is thy prime.O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,How are thy leaves so verdant!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

For every year the Christmas tree,Brings to us all both joy and glee.O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Much pleasure doth thou bring me!

O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly!O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly!

Each bough doth hold its tiny light,That makes each toy to sparkle bright.O Christmas tree, O Christmas tree,Thy candles shine out brightly!

Oh holy night!The stars are brightly shiningIt is the night of the dear Savior’s birth!Long lay the world in sin and error piningTill he appear’d and the soul felt its worth.A thrill of hope the weary world rejoicesFor yonder breaks a new and glorious morn!

Fall on your knees Oh hear the angel voices Oh night divine Oh night when Christ was born Oh night divine Oh night divine

Led by the light of Faith serenely beamingWith glowing hearts by His cradle we standSo led by light of a star sweetly gleamingHere come the wise men from Orient landThe King of Kings lay thus in lowly mangerIn all our trials born to be our friend.Truly He taught us to love one anotherHis law is love and His gospel is peaceChains shall He break for the slave is our brotherAnd in His name all oppression shall ceaseSweet hymns of joy in grateful chorus raise we,Let all within us praise His holy name.

We three kings of Orient are,Bearing gifts we traverse afar,Field and fountain, moor and mountain,Following yonder Star.

(Chorus)O, star of wonder, star of night,Star with royal beauty bright,Westward leading, still proceeding,Guide us to thy perfect light.

Born a babe on Bethlehem’s plain;Gold I bring to crown Him again;King forever, ceasing never,Over us all to reign.

Chorus

Frankincense to offer have I;Incense owns a Deity nigh;Prayer and praising, all men raising,Worship Him, God on High.

Chorus

Myrrh is mine; its bitter perfumeBreathes a life of gathering gloom;Sorrowing, sighing, bleeding, dying,Seal’d in the stone-cold tomb.

Chorus

Glorious now behold Him arise,King and God and sacrifice,Alleluia, alleluia!Sounds through the earth and skies.
