• Notified BNSF regarding damage caused by BNSF vehicles at closed Magnolia crossing.

• Worked on punch list items, including hydromulching and mowing. • John Lizer streetlights installed, Overpass wire installed by CenterPoint. • Conducted project close out meeting. • Conducted final inspection for traffic signals. • Notified contractor about improvements to median maintenance. • Master signal controller test shows signal strength from Pearland Parkway to

Harkey. Master controller to be moved from Pearland Parkway to Veterans to improve signal strength on west end of project.

November 8th. • Coordinated with HOAs on irrigation and lighting repairs at subdivision

Morgan. • Monitored barricades at Dryberry, Cullen and FM 1128. • Directed contractor on November 11th to propose remedy regarding

settled subgrade under pavement and settled sub-grade of unpaved area east of FM 1128 on Magnolia Rd, and around storm and sanitary road crossing.

• Response received from contractor regarding remedies on Nov. 22nd. • Continued televising of sanitary line. • Proposal received regarding open cut construction of 15 in. sanitary sewer

along West Oaks Village to lift station #65. • Coordinated with developer regarding alternate bid items and additional work.

Traffic Signal Installation at Southfork and CR90 and CR 94 Design Engineer: TEDSI Infrastructure Group CM: Staff Contractor: Florida Traffic Control Devices Billed to Date: $698,965.58 % Billed: 100% Contract Days Used: 200 % of Contract: 99%

• Completed additional repair of thermoplastic pavement markings. • Warranty period is now complete.

• Monitor maintenance and approve payments for maintenance contracts. • Coordinate with Parks Department as needed.

Segments 1 & 2: (Construction Phase 2) Magnolia Rd. from Veterans Dr. to Pearland Parkway

• Monitor and complete items noted for correction on punch-list. • Complete pavement grinding to remove rough areas. • Place additional speed limit signs near overpass. • Remove cat-track pavement markings and add advance lane assignment

pavement markings at Pearland Parkway. • Conduct Final Completion Inspection. • Seek credit payment or refund from Center Point regarding streetlight

installation. • Complete red line drawings and review with Construction Manager. • Complete deductive balancing change order. • Collect project closeout documents.

Segments 4 & 5: (Construction Phase 3) Magnolia Rd from Morgan Rd. to Harkey Rd.,

and CR-89 from Southfork to Northfork. • Complete turn around pads along north side of Southfork sidewalk, ramps

and sidewalk along Morgan to Park and handicap ramps at Morgan intersection.

• Complete sidewalks along Cullen Parkway. • Obtain power to signals at Morgan, Cullen and FM 1128 intersections. • Complete paving activities at Southfork/ Cullen Parkway intersection. • Complete televising sanitary sewer line and review results. • Review and accept approved solution to repair trench settlement along

Magnolia sanitary sewer, and settlement at utility crossings. • Complete 15 in. sanitary line tie in to West Oaks LS #65, with possible

short term closure of West Oaks Blvd. • Initiate 15 in. sanitary line to West Oaks LS #22. • Coordinate as necessary with developer for Magnolia Rd work. • Coordinate with HOA, MUD, developer and residents as necessary.

• Coordinate with USACE regarding project completion.

• Processed change orders from TxDOT as part of project closeout; requested TxDOT provide final accounting of project funding.

• Center Point refined plan and an estimate to City for review. • Existing electrical wood poles will be utilized for street lighting near FM 518

only due to reduced right of way. Planned activities for the period ending December 31, 2010:

• Finalize streetlight plans and initiate work with Center Point. • Finalize speed study report.

Project Schedule:

• TxDOT issued Notice to Proceed at the end of October 2006. • Construction reached substantial completion in November 2008.

• Continued slip form paving on future southbound main lanes from

weekend. • Requested missing street signs be replaced. • Requested contractor coordinate wire pull for City’s signal pre-emption. • Continued paving of residential driveways. • Coordinated with Oakbrook HOA on Oakbrook Dr. entrance and trees in City

right of way. • Staff coordinated with TxDOT and PISD personnel.

• Complete slip form paving of southbound lanes from Mary’s Creek Bypass north project limits near Walmart.

• Prepare for traffic switch to open all four lanes to traffic. • Complete paving of cross-overs and driveway tie ins. • Continue traffic signal work. • Install street light conduit, backfill behind curb and initiate sidewalk

construction. • Install ADA ramps at intersections. • Coordinate with TxDOT and contractor to provide advance notice for traffic

switch. • Coordinate with HOA and residents as needed. • Monitor intersections for any issues.

• Staff completed Change Order #4 which included extra work at Pond #9 and at Mary’s Creek opposite bank.

• BDD#4 removed pipe at Willow Lake Pond. • Held project close out meeting with engineer, BDD#4 and contractor. • Erected signage along Creek prohibiting motor vehicles. • Completed hydromulching haul road.

Planned activities for the period ending December 31, 2010:

• Monitor status of hydromulch on haul road. • Monitor project during one year warranty period (quarterly). • Coordinate with BDD#4, Pine Hollow HOA, Shadycrest and Willow Lake HOA

as needed. Project schedule:

Recreation Center & Natatorium Architect: PBK Architects Contractor: EMJ Corporation CM: PBK Architects Billed to Date: $16,432,855.89 % Billed: 95% Contract Days Used: 429 days (41 rain days) % of Contract Time: 98.62% Progress this period:

• Negotiated costs on changes and extra work, and presented to Council for consideration.

• Met with architect regarding electrical issues and participation in costs for work not bid competitively bid.

• Removed subcontractor insurance costs from change order. • Contractor response on warranty items remains slow. • Shower handles have manufacturer defect and will be replaced by

manufacturer. • TDLR inspection minor corrections completed.

Hickory Slough Detention at Max Rd & Max Rd Sports Complex, Phase 1 Progress this period:

• Held Kick Off meeting with staff and design team. • Scheduled for Pre-Development meeting on Dec. 1st. • Reviewed scope and discussed making some adjustments to fields and parking

lots. • Worked on project design schedule and action items related to data gathering.

Planned activities for the period ending December 31, 2010:

• Develop project design schedule. • Determine sports complex site plan prior to detention modeling. • Attend Pre-Development meeting and work on any issues resulting from that

meeting to meet City UDC. • Review other similar sites. • Meet with BDD#4 on requirements for detention for this facility.

striping activities are complete • 58 of 65 parcels acquired, 2 in active negotiation, 5 in condemnation

Planned activities for the period ending December 31, 2010:

• Complete plan changes from Amendment #5 and submit for final review. Return comments along with comments from previous 100% plan review.

• Finalize 100% plans and hold TRC. • Continue acquisition process • Start Noise Impact Analysis activities

• Opened intersection of Cullen and Brookside/ McHard Completed northbound transition to existing pavement striped lane assignments for new northbound lanes through

intersection and southbound left turn lane signals are now functional all four directions

• Continued work on retaining wall east side north of Hickory Slough • Completed north bridge abutment

Working on slope paving within channel • Small areas of pavement remain outside of approved right of way,

pending FHWA environmental approvals Backfilling medians continuing Signal installations at all intersections in progress Some signal masts remain outside approved right of way

• Awaiting Opticom change order and pricing on brick pavers for medians at Broadway, requested this pricing from TxDoT in September

• Working on issues with Interview Room audio/ Visual recording system

• Parts installed to replace air control damper in Jail air handler o Air flow control software re-programmed and testing and balance

was re-performed • HVAC control system has undergoing some minor changes in the

operating software coming out of testing performed during November resulting in new timing and temperature set points

• Siemens monitoring system established and Reno system working • Held meeting with PD and Building Maintenance to establish building

operations schedule o Data now being programmed into automation and energy

management system • Rescheduled Building Commissioning for the week of December 6th

o Activity was delayed due to a sensor failure on Chiller #2 • Tax Office is moved in and operating and report no problems/ issues
