dijana dari protein rekombinan coat protein RTSV dan RTBV

Empat Antibodi poliklonal telah berjaya dihasilkan menggunakan protein rekombinan coat protein dari virus RTSV dan RTBV yang menyebabkan penyakit Tungro di dalam padi. Antibodi yang dihasilkan boleh digunakan untuk penyaringan dan pengesahan penyakit Tungro padi. Penjanaan antibodi menggunakan protein rekombinan ini adalah lebih mudah dan cepat, boleh dihasilkan dalam kuantiti yang banyak berbanding kaedah konvensional yang menggunakan virus RTSV dan

RTBV sebagai antigen. Antibodi yang terhasil boleh digunakan sebagai asas dan bahan utama untuk penjanaan kit diagnostik bagi pengenalpastian penyakit TUngro padi

Dua kaedah berasaskan proteomic digunakan untuk

mengenalpasti protein virulen dan "hypersensitive response" dari patogen penyebab penyakit mati rosot betik. Ini membolehkan pengenalpastian mekanisme kepatogenan bakteria ini. Seterusnya ia boleh digunakan bersama teknologi pengubahsuaian genetik untuk penghasilan pokok betik yang mempunyai ketahanan terhadap pathogen ini. Faktor virulen ini boleh juga digunakan di dalam penyelidikan untuk mengenalpasti protein pertahanan di dalam pokok betik yang resistan/toleran terhadap patogen

Protein AXR4 dari tumbuhan telah dipencilkan, diklonkan di dalam vektor pengekspresan bakteria. Protein rekombinan yang diekspres dan ditulenkantelah digunakan sebagai antigen untuk penghasilan antibodi ini. Teknologi ini telah dan boleh digunapakai untuk penghasilan antibodi secara cepat dan spesifik ke atas protein terpilih. Aplikasi antibodi yang dihasilkan adalah meluas. Ia boleh digunakan

sebagai komponen utama untk kit penyaringan disamping digunakan pengenalpastian dan pencirian protein berkaitan.

2 gen iaitu Coat Protein dan polymerase dari virus PMV yang menyerang pokok markisa tempatan telah berjaya dipencilkan dan diklonkan di dalam vektor pengekspresan tumbuhan dan bakteria.Gen-gen ini boleh digunakan untuk menjana pokok markisa yang rintang terhadap virus PMV menerusi kaedah kejuruteraan genetik.Protein yang diekspreskan di dalam sistem bakteria boleh digunakan untuk menjana antibodi terhadap virus

PMV. Ianya boleh digunakan untuk penyaringan pokok yang terinfeksi dan pokok putatif transgenik kelak.

DNA Polymerase

Produk ini sedia digunakan di dalam industri. Produk yang dihasilkan telah dihasilkan di dalam skala makmal di Pusat Penyelidikan Bioteknologi, MARDI. Kini, produk ini telah dikenalpasti sesuai digunakan dan kualitinya adalah setanding dengan produk yang sama yang diimport dari luar negeri. Harga import enzim ini ialah RM400.00-RM600 bagi setiap pack 500 unit aktiviti enzim. Dengan adanya sistem E.coli “super-mikrob”, harga hasilan produk ini di MARDI adalah jauh lebih rendah.Nilai produk ini adalah besar dan sangat berpotensi untuk

dikomersialkan.

24 Proteomik tumbuhan Bidang ini merupakan salah satu bidang omiks yang

penting. Kajian berasaskan proteomik boleh diaplikasikan untuk pengenalpastian dan pencirian enzim. Ia juga boleh diaplikasikan di dalam penyelidikan untuk penemuan penanda molekul protein, pengenalpastian protein-protein penting yang berinteraksi, komponen penting untuk penghasilan "novel drug", serta pengenalpastian protein yang boleh digunakan di dalam kejuruteraan genetik tumbuhan contohnya protein yang terlibat di dalam kerintangan penyakit.
