Designed for FlexibilityKLINGER Large Diameter Coupling & Flange Adaptor products are designed to allow several degrees of pipeline angular deflection. Ideal for accommodating misaligned pipes. Thus making the task of the pipeline design engineer and installation contractor far easier.
Design CapabilityLarge Diameter Couplings & Flange Adators are available in a wide range of sizes to suit virtually any customer requirement. With input from customers, products can be designed specifically to suit certain applications. Longer barrels, higher pressures, different coatings, special stainless steels and specialized rubber compounds are some of the non-standard components added at design stage. We are able to design and manufacture according to customer requirements. Dedicated Large Diameter Couplings DO NOT resist end load - adequate restraint must be provided.
Easy to InstallWith installation instructions available on request, Large Diameter Couplings, Step Couplings, Flange Adaptors and End Caps are easy to install.
Simple InstallationA comprehensive range is available from DN650mm to DN3000mm. Including:- Step Couplings- Flange adaptors up to 64bar (6400kPa)- End caps- Half Couplings
Standard Dedicated Large Diameter products are available manufactured from mild steel, fusion bonded epoxy coated. Non-standard specials are available on request including full stainless Steel products and special coatings.

LONG BARREL LENGTH:Standard Large Diameter couplings have a 200mm barrel length. This length is not stated in the product code. Customers can specify the length of a Long Barrel coupling centre sleeve. The standard long barrel centre sleeve length = 300mm. Hence the notation L300. Longer coupling centre barrel lengths are available on request.

How to specify a KLINGER Large Diameter CouplingThe Coupling shall exhibit construction and design characteristics as follows:
> The end ring shall be manufactured from a hot or cold rolled T section.> No circumferentially welded or fabricated T sections are permitted.> The bolting shall be mushroom head D- cup captivated bolts. Enabling tightening with a single spanner. Hex bolts are not permitted.> Coupling bolts must be M16 or greater. M12 bolts are not permitted on dedicated large diameter couplings for pipe outside diameters exceeding 650mm.> The coupling centre barrel or centre sleeve section must be a minimum of 200mm wide.> The coupling must exhibit a minimum working tolerance of +/- 4mm.> Coupling rubber seal shall be manufactured from Ethylene Propylene Diere Monomer (EPDM) or Nitrile (NBR) - depending on the application.> Rubber internal profile shall include raised circumferential sealing ribs.
Note for Long Barrel CouplingsCircumferential weld beads are not permitted on coupling centre sleeves. The coupling sleeve must be a uniform section and must not be 2 sleeves welded together.
How to order Large Diameter CouplingExplanation of codes, how to make your own and order accordingly. Customers can specify any size or material by simply altering the purchase code as per their requirement. Standard long barrel lengths are available, however, special long barrel lengths can be specified by order customer. Alternative materials are available on request.

Dedicated Large Diameter End Caps
InstallationAn End Cap is a blanked off end and is therefore subject to internal pipeline pressure forces. The force on an end cap increases with pipe diameter and internal pipeline pressure. Magnitudes in tens of tons are common and therefore adequate external restraint is mandatory to ensure an end cap remains in place. Do not encase in concrete, leave exposed for testing & maintenance.
RangeEnd Caps are available from PN6 to PN64 and any nominal bore up to DN3000mm.
ApplicationEnd Caps can be used to blank off a pipeline end. They are also perfect for pipeline pressure testing. End Caps can be used, removed and re-installed on the next section of pipeline being tested. End Caps can be supplied with sockets for pipeline pressure testing. Customers can specify the quantity and size of sockets, including flanged outlets. Bolts and rubber seals can be sold as spares if an end cap is used repeatedly.
Long Barrel End Caps are available and should be specified when being used on HDPE, oPVC and GRP pipe.
