1. Only those Coordinators having 5 years regular experience in running anaccredited Institution of NIOS before from 1st January of the concerned year ofgranting award.

2. Only those coordinators who have been actively involved in the advocacy ofNIOS, conduct of Personal Contact Programme, Evaluation of Tutor MarkedAssignment, Conduct of practical, conduct of practical and theory exams, .

3. General reputation of the Coordinator should be impeccable. This should beduly self attested.

Eligibility criteria for Best Study Centre Award:Institutions should have completed at least 5 years from the date of grant ofaccreditation by NIOS. The cutoff date being 1s1January of the concerned yearof granting award.Infrastructure of the Study Centre should be in consonance with the NIOSnorms.Institution should make available facilities as per NIOS norms such aslaboratory, audio video room, library, MOOGs Swayam, DTH,Swayamprabha, etc to the. NIOS learners. The applicant Instituttion will have to

submit certificate along with photographs of NIOS learners using theinfrastructure.

4. The applicant Institution will have to submit self certificate regardingInvolvement of Coordinator and other staff in the implementation of NIOSpolicies in all fields.

5. The applicant institution will have to provide the proof regarding the conduct ofPersonal Contact Programs .(PCP), advocacy of NIOS programs, Evaluation ofTutor Marked Assessment (TMA), Conduct of Practical and Theory exams forjudging the quality of education.

6. High degree of social commitment with special reference to the needs oflearners will be given special importance.

7. Study Centre should have unique feature of creative and innovative functioning.8. Outstanding work for integrated inclusive education.9. Study Centre should not have been involved in any unfair activities.10. Achievement of the learners passing out from the study centre should be

indicated.11. In case of Academic and Vocational programmes, details of October

Examination of the preceding year (from the award year) should be consideredfor assessment.

12. In case of Open Basic Education (OBE) programme, details of AprilExamination of the preceding year from the Award year should be consideredfor assessment.

(iii) EI.igibility for Best Study Centre AI (Academic) Debutant Award(Total 1 Award)

1. Institution should have been granted accreditation one year before andcompleted one academic year from 1st Januaryof the year of granting awardbut notmorethan two years.

2. Institution should make available facilities as per NIOS norms such aslaboratory, audio video room, library, MOOCs - Swayam, DTH,Swayamprabhaetc to the NIOS learners.The applicant I Instituttionwill haveto submit certificate along with photographs of NIOS learners using theinfrastructure.

3. The applicant I Institution will have to submit self certificate regardingInvolvement of Coordinator and other staff in the implementation of NIOSpolicies in all fields. -

4. The applicant institutionwill haveto providethe proof regardingthe conductofPersonalContactProgram(PCP) , advocacyof NIOSprograms,Evaluationof.TMA, Conduct of Practical and Theory exams for judging the quality ofeducation.For the year 2018, the schedule of activities of awards is as follows:

(1) (a) The Advertisement for inviting applications is enclosed in Hindi &English. Ensure that the same is hosted on Regional Centrewebsite by1f:6.2018

(b) Regional Centres will also ensure that the same may also behosted onwebsite in vernacular language.

(c) On NIOSwebsite the samewill be hosted by SAP.(2) There will not be any notice in the News Papers.(3) Also inform the same to all the study centres under your jurisdiction

through email. .(4) The applications are invited online only with above schedule and as per

last year procedure.(5) The eligibility criterion is available on website and as per last year.(6) The guidelines for submission and sending applications are also

available on website and as per last year.(7) Kindly motivate the good Study Centres and Coordinators those are

sincerely performing their duties assigned by the NIOS to apply for theawards.

(8) Also find out the good and experienced person for verification of the factssubmitted by the applicants in their applications.
