with its modern stage and seating for 500, will be launched with an all-Alpine c o medy-farce t h is Saturday night when the Library Association presents 'The S iren and the C arpenter', by Bea La Force, librarian, and played by local talent under the direction of Joann Adams, the artist. It will show two nights, Saturday & Sunday, at 8 p.m. Tickets at the door or from local organizations.
O n e of the bes t casts ever assembled here is headed by Ruth R oklidge, Sarabeth Magnussen and Scott W i nn, supported by John Manly, Bea La Force, Louise Winn, Wallace Johnson and L.K. Anderson, who also handles the publicity. Samuel French, of N.Y., is reported to have accepted the w ork for publishing.

Then c am e the M oth e r G oose Parade, now America's second great pageant, following Pasadena's world famous Rose P arade, down at our nei ghbor tow n of El C ajon. A marvelous idea conceived by our friend Tom Wigton, of that City. It clicked from the start in 1947 with only 25 floats and 25,000 viewers and s een this year by nearly a quarter million'
