Also served 10kg of wheat flour to 100very poor needy mothers and sisters includingwidows. anniversary of Swami Vivekanand branch took upa unique project of presenting the statues of SwamiVivekanand to schools. In the first phase, sixspecially made statues were got ready and at threeschools, these were presented, installed andinaugurated. The statues were inaugurated at theauspicious hands of Shriman Swami TadyuktanandaMaharaj of Shri Ramakrishna Ashram. On 5th Marchthe first statue was installed at Joshi Central School,and on 6th March the second at KLS School and thethird at Dnyan Prabodhan School. Swamijiaddressed the gathering and advised to follow theteachings of Swami Vivekananda. Shri NamajiDeshpande President, Shri Vinayak GhodekarSecretary, Shri Suhas Sangalikar Treasurer and theproject convener Shri Hemant Deshpande andShri Suhas Gurjar, members of the Parishad,Management and staff of respective schools,

cultural programme presented by special childrenof Ludhiana on February, 22, 2014 at the VocationalRehabilitation and Training Centre (VRTC), HumbranRoad. Over 70 students accompanied by 30teachers from 9 schools run by different NGOsparticipated in the function. Urban Estate, Jalandhar : A mega medicalcamp was organised in association with PunjabInstitute of Medical Sciences, College and Hospitalin Housing Board Colony Jalandhar. Expert teamof Doctors included child specialist, chest andgeneral medicine. 190 patients were examined.Tests of ECG and sphioeremetry were done on thespot. Free medicines also provided to needypatients. Speaking on the occasion, BVP StateGeneral Secy. Rajinder Rishi lauded the efforts ofthe branch to promote social activities in the localarea.
