Steven Davis is out toprove thatpartingdoesn’talwayshave to be such sweet sorrow.A short-track racing veteran of15 years, Davis is accustomedto thebusinesssideof thesport.Butevenhehad toexperienceatinge of regret when the No. 84ProTruckhedrovetounparalleledsuccess in 2015 was sold by itsownerduringtheoffseason.

Instead of wallowing,though, Davis got back to work.ThereigningSnowballDerbyProTrucks champion, Davis built abrand new truckwith the help ofgoodfriendRandyArmstrongandisreadytocontinuehisPensacolatwo-racewinningstreak.

“We had a pretty good bit ofsuccess in the old truck,” saidDavis, who owns and operatesDavis Suspension Technology intheMobilearea.“Ithinktheworstwe finished was second.
