Newsletter of the Glenhaven Public School P & C Association Term 2, Week 9, 2019 Highlights this week: Next meeting is Tuesday 2 nd July 2019 at 7pm – all welcome! Uniform Shop - CLOSED in Week 10 (Friday 5 July). Canteen update - SUSHI – Baby Boxes (8 mini pieces of Sushi) are now available in Salmon or Avocado. Twilight Markets Committee – come along to the next P&C meeting if you’re interested in helping out with the Twilight Markets in 2020. Presidents Report – Term 2, Week 9, 2019 Twilight Markets 2020 After such an amazing event this year we are looking for a committee to continue our event for next year. If you are interested in getting involved and being part of the organizing committee please let me know or come to our July meeting where we will be forming a committee. The contribution will be applied to your Term 2 fees and we would love all your support to continue to make Glenhaven Public School 'the only place to be'. Please remember the contribution is voluntary and if you would prefer to pay your contribution over time or in Term 3 please feel free to do so. Uniform Shop Update
Uniform Shop CLOSED in Week 10 (Friday 5 July).
Due to stocktake and the implementation of a new Point of Sale system the uniform shop will not open in
WEEK 10.
This means any uniforms ordered on Flexischools after 4.30 pm on Thursday 27 June will not be delivered
until WEEK 1, TERM 3 ( Friday 26 July).
NB – The Second Hand Uniform Shop will trade as usual on Friday 28 June, 8.30-9.30am.

News From Hungry Haven
MENU UPDATE – SUSHI – Baby Boxes (8 mini pieces of Sushi) are now available in Salmon or Avocado.
IOU Payments – many thanks to everyone who has used the IOU Payment service to settle debts at the
canteen. If you have any outstanding debt please use this service or send the cash in with your child asap.
REMINDER – PSSA - If your child participates in PSSA sport, please remember to select the ‘PSSA’ button
when placing your child’s lunch order each Friday. We just want to make sure that we have orders ready for
when the buses leave at midday. **Please note that sushi is not available for PSSA lunch orders **
THANK YOU to all our volunteers for their time and efforts.
We still have some volunteer spots to fill for Term 3 – if you are available anytime on a Weds/Thurs/Fri

The 2018/2019 Entertainment books are available to purchase NOW! Do you know you can now

Twilight Markets 2020 – we need you!
Our markets were held in April this year and it was a fun and successful night had by all those whom
attended. Months of planning goes into the markets and it’s now time to start planning for next year.
We’d love you to join us on our planning committee – we have a job for everyone! We need assistance with
the planning, sourcing sponsorship, stallholder co-ordination, advertising and marketing, set up and layout,
pack up, manning stalls, plus much, much more.
Have some feedback or ideas you’d like to see implemented next year, let us know! If you are interested,

Piano Lessons in Glenhaven
Have your children expressed the desire to learn to play the piano? Are you interested in providing them with a solid music foundation and quality, private lessons? Would you like them to have lessons locally in a safe and peaceful environment?
Piano lessons are being held in Glenhaven by a qualified, experienced music teacher.
Lessons focus not only on the practical learning of the instrument and note-reading skills, but also on theory, aural, music appreciation and preparation for possible AMEB exams. In addition, an annual concert provides the ideal opportunity for all students to perform for family and friends. Lessons are $40.00 per ½ hour and take place in a state-of-the-art studio with beautiful bush outlook. There is also an air-conditioned waiting room with tea/coffee making facilities. Jigsaw OOSH is located at Dural Public School, and have positions available for the up and coming Winter School Holidays. Families will receive Child Care Subsidy off their fees and if they book in before the 28th of June we are applying a $10.00 discount per day.
