Happy 4th of July !!! June was a busy month for our Unit . . . Sacramento Regional, special club games, NAP qualifying games and the Unit game. All had good attendance except the Unit game . . . The Unit games are fun, gives one a chance to meet folks from other clubs, if they will attend, a pot luck which is fun to see who brings what goodies. The best of all more points are given for scratching (coming in) in a Section. PLEASE ATTEND. Our next Unit game is a team game (see more on page 3.) Your Unit Board met in June to discuss the May Sectional. The new location, Orangevale Commu- nity Center, attracted more players and we have it booked for the rest of this year and 2019. The Sat. parking problem has been worked out with Orangevale. Sharon Neff, one of our District Representatives gave a report on the last District meeting. Our Unit meetings and the District meetings are open to all so if interested please feel free to attend. The Unit Board is very happy with the format of The Kibitzer and want to thank Beth Mora for her efforts and work she does to make it happen. As our summer heat continues remember the bridge clubs are air conditioned. What better way to stay cool than to play a game of bridge indoors. See you at the Unit game! Then the next round (match) begins. Even if your team only wins one game you will receive points. by Katherine Ewing
