The stream will be stocked. Come and join the fun. * May 7th, 2016 - 60th Annual Meeting at Pavilion at Horse Valley 5pm - Covered Dish Dinner 6pm - Annual Meeting * May 7th/8th, 2016 - Spring Two-Day Work Day Weekend Projects: Stone House clean-up, flashing stone house porch roof, grade and improve roads, create boat access area to south of beach, brush & lake clean-up. * May 6th - May 27th - - Dumpster placed in parking lot for member’s convenience PLEASE NOTE * Dues are to paid by May 31st. After that date, there will be a $25.00 penalty added. * There will be a second window of opportunity for members to make a lump sum payment for the land purchase. Total will be $2,240.00 plus accrued interest, payable by May31st. This will be listed as an option on the assessment notice. * PLEASE ATTEND ANNUAL MEETING- your voice is crucial. If you cannot attend, please appoint a proxy. * Director’s Terms expiring 2016: Bob McMinn, Steve Toddes, Brad Bates Director’s Terms expiring 2017: Jerry George, Dan Strickler, Donn Schoonover Director’s Terms expiring 2018: John Beegle, Buck Brindle, Mike Yoh * Josh George, our dynamic Social Chairperson, is preparing for our 60th Celebration this coming July 4th weekend. We will be recreating the 50th Beefroast plus other events. He will need a lot of volunteers to pull this off. * Facebookers- we now have more than 120 members on the FSHVA ORGANIZATION group. Please join and share your thoughts and pictures. * Fishermen, please heed this reminder. Although we are on private property, the fish in our waters are still property of the state and we are required to follow all state regulations. * Raun Kercher has set up a link for ordering 60th Anniversary shirts, hats, mugs, and cups. Proxy 2016 I/We appoint _____________________________ as my/our proxy to vote on all matters coming before the annual meeting of the Falling Spring Horse Valley Acres, Inc., on Saturday, May 7th, 2016, or any adjounment thereof for a vote by the membership, including the election of directors for a term of three years. Send all proxies to: Michael Yoh, Secretary, FSHVA, 554 E. Catherine St, Chambersburg, PA 17201) CABIN FOR SALE Charles and Kathy White are interested in selling their cabin on lot C-6. The cabin was built in the early 1960’s using materials from a house near the cemetery. Stephen Keefer built the original house in 1890. The Whites paid the FSHVA $7.00 for the building. They disman- tled and rebuilt the second story as their cabin. The walk-in fireplace came from an old inn, which burnt down on Flossie Keefer’s land. The cabin is attached to the Area C water system and has a septic system. Minimum bid is $30,000. Some furnishings may be included. Contact Charles White at 717-263-8459 or [email protected]. Showings can be arranged. This offer will be open to members and second generation members for 90 days. May 23rd, 2016 will mark the end of the 90 day period. Please note that though the sale is between owner and potential buyer, the Board of Directors has final approval.
