Buyantanshi Women’s empowerment Program

need our help. As much as we

want to help, we are limited

by funds. Together with your

prayers and support, we

know we can do much more.

By God’s grace, we will strive

to do what we can do when

we have to do it.

You may wish to know that

every time you support one of

these women, you also help

the extended family, and in

most cases, a female-headed

household. Imagine what

smile you put on their faces

and a legacy you leave when

you decide to support this

program!

Reaching the very poor—

Departing from business as

usual!

In an effort to begin to reach

the “unbanked” 2.5 billion

adults worldwide, it is neces-

sary to get away from busi-

ness as usual. It has been

reported that half of the

worldwide adult population

does not have a bank account

and therefore are not partici-

pating in modern economic

life. To fight this condition,

Dream Factory has created an

education and empowerment

program—the Buyantanshi

Women’s Empowerment Pro-

gram—that caters to a group

of women in Ndola, Zambia.

The aim of the Buyantanshi

Women’s Empowerment Pro-

gram is to educate and em-

power women towards a bet-

ter future for themselves and

their families. This is done

through workshops, weekly

visits, literacy training, skills

training, peer support and

micro loans.

Despite the widespread senti-

ments against micro financing

projects in many countries,

this community has proven

to be exceptionally differ-

ent—we are very satisfied

in the way they are con-

ducting their individual

businesses and using the

funds they have obtained

through Dream Factory. As

well, the program is car-

ried out in cooperation with

the community and the

ladies are given tools and

support to ensure success.

Dream Factory Ministries, a new independent branch other schools still waiting for us to go and

preach!

Zambia is experiencing rainy season and

open crusades can only be held during

dry seasons. We have already planned

two crusades which will be held in May

and July within Ndola, a city that we are

actively operating in. Over the next few

months, you will hear much more about

these plans at Dream Factory. You may

also like to visit our site ministry page on

www.dreamfactoryzambia.org/dfzm even

as you pray for our breakthroughs.

And this one is just for you—Dream Facto-

ry Zambia Ministries compiles a monthly

prayer list in which we pray with and for

you regarding various issues. You may

wish to submit your prayer requests

through our website and we will be hap-

py to include that on our list. Let us know

how we can help you. Let’s share in each

other’s lives.

‘Go ye therefore and teach all nations,

baptizing them in the name of the Father,

of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, teaching

them to observe all things whatsoever I

have commanded you, and lo! I am with

you always, even unto the end of the

world’

These words are vividly pronounced in

the Book of Mathew 28:19-20 and Dream

Factory Zambia Ministries heeds this call

of preaching to all nations, either devel-

oped, developing and under-developed.

We believe that Dream Factory Zambia

Ministries is a God-given vision based on

a foundation of evangelism.

Our passion focuses on Jesus Christ, His

love and His freedom, which we seek to

reflect to everyone that we will interact

with in our work activities. Being an evan-

gelistic organization, we focus on bring-

ing people to Jesus Christ, hence the

birth of Dream Factory Zambia Ministries.

This years’ emphasis for the ministry is

threefold, namely, preaching in institu-

tions of learning, reaching and preaching

in rural areas and holding crusades both

in urban and rural areas.

Dream Factory Zambia Ministries has

already begun with preaching in public

schools, wherein hundreds of students

and teachers are in attendance. What an

opportunity to share our faith with so

many people. And there are so many

Dream Factory latest developments

New staff member Please join us in welcoming Natasha Bom-

ba to the Dream Factory team. Natasha

comes from Canada and has been work-

ing in Zambia since 2009. Her heart is to

build relationships and make long-term

impact here in Zambia.

With her

background

in teaching

and training,

Natasha will

be expanding

the

Buyantanshi

Women’s Em-

powerment

Program by

initiating knit-

ting and liter-

acy programs.

Natasha has a deep love for God and we

also look forward to her being part of our

ministry team and carrying that love in

the daily programs.

First IT course The first IT course for 2013 has been a

great success with 15 students receiving

IT training every Wednesday and Friday.

15 more wanted to join the class but be-

cause of space limitations, we had to refer

them to our next intake session which will

start in March.

Trip to USA Anitha and Peder are traveling to USA in

March/April where they will visit New

Orleans, Washington DC, and Charlotte.

The vision for this trip is to tell the good

news about the work here in Zambia, and

about the great opportunities and bene-

fits of partnering with us. As well, we want

the people of the United States to under-

stand the impact and significant role they

play in this world mission.

Results in 2012 In 2012, Adopt a Club met our

target of influencing and reaching

200 youth directly. This wonderful

goal doesn’t even take into ac-

count the indirect benefits and

impact to the surrounding commu-

nity. Surpassing the target gives

us an edge to go beyond 200

youth in this year. Experience has

indeed helped us to be better

teachers! Together with you, our

supporters, we have managed to

adopt a total of 6 sports clubs,

totaling more than 300 youth.

simply want to say hi, please do not hesi-

tate to contact us or visit our website

www.dreamfactoryzambia.org.

We can help you with travel arran-

gements and to better understand

what happens when you arrive in

Zambia. We will also tell you about

the excellent support and back up

we provide before you leave and

during your program.

While in Zambia, you’ll get invol-

ved in various activities that suit

your skills, personality and daily

schedule. We are also able to con-

nect you to former volunteers as a

way of getting it from the horse’s

mouth as to what awaits you in this

beautiful and peaceful country.

Many volunteers have had what they call

an ‘exciting and unforgettable’ experi-

ence in Zambia, the real Africa.

Think about the enormous satisfaction of

helping disadvantaged children and kno-

wing that you made a difference in their

lives. Or consider the many new skills,

confidence and in-depth understanding

they get of a different culture. With the

personal and professional development

experience they gain, they now have a

mark on their resume that puts them head

and shoulders above a lot of others in the

college and job market.

Our first volunteers of 2013, Mia, Sally

and Steffen arrived in January. We are

still expecting a number of volunteers to

join the work at Dream Factory this year

and we are very excited about it!
