Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District – 2020 Renewal LevyOn the March 17th ballot, Bellbrook Sugarcreek Park District will have an issue to renew an existing .7 mil operating levy that was approved by voters in 2009. The renewal of this levy will provide funding for park operations for a 10-year period. For this levy, the cost to property owners is approximately $24.50 per year for each $100,000 of appraised value. Because this levy is a renewal, there will be no increase in taxes paid. This overview is intended only to provide information about park levies. The 2020 levy will provide funding for the following: • Maintain facilities – playgrounds, Community Center, hiking trails and paths, shelters and athletic fields • Plan and develop new parks and trail systems • Provide the conservation of lands and natural resources • Develop and conduct year-round nature, art and fitness programsTo read more about why public parks are an important and essential part of our community, please visit our website, bellbrooksugarcreekparks.org/park-news
