A Word from Our President

2 Delivering Excellence

Second quarter has included many innovative improvements and some new beginnings for Vanquish and Peak Technical Institute. In March, Peak increased student enrollment for the CDL and UXO training programs at our Colorado campus location. We kicked off PTI’s Social Decorum Academy seminars by holding a few beta sessions in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee.

During quarter two Vanquish increased its commercial trucking customer base to over twenty clients across the country and successfully passed our DOT safety audit. As far as process improvements, we invested capital back into Vanquish’s commercial truck fleet and installed electronic logging devices and TMW Innovative software to aid in better communication between our drivers, administrative staff and dispatch personnel. These improvements will allow us to provide even better service to our customers and better differentiate ourselves from the competition.

In addition to investing in our equipment, we also focused on investing in our people. We have come a long way this year and our successes would not have been achievable without an incredible team of dedicated individuals who care deeply about the work we do. Our HR and benefits staff worked hard during quarter two so we could roll out a competitive retirement plan and our initial benefits package to all employees.

Mid June we celebrated our new headquarter location with an official ribbon cutting ceremony and likewise celebrated the success of Vanquish, Front Range Training, Peak Technical Institute and LexLin Ranch which all make up the fast growing Vanquish Team.

Looking to the rest of 2014, I look forward to us working together to improve on yesterday’s successes, communicate and share lessons learned, and continually set and achieve higher quality standards so we continue to ‘DELIVERING EXCELLENCE’ to our growing number of customers and students worldwide. With a consistent focus on our customers, our associates and our future we can make the second half of 2014 even more successful and promising than the months and years past.

Warm Regards,

Eric W. BartonPresident / CEO

3 Vanquish Worldwide News | September 2014

The foundation of a successful safety program is compliance with local, state and national safety laws and regulations, but that’s only the beginning for the Vanquish Worldwide family.

At Vanquish, we pride ourselves in emphasizing our safety first mindset and having safe working environment for all of our employees. This is accomplished by having regular train-ing and open safety discussions often triggered by our monthly safety newsletter distrib-uted to our employees worldwide.

Vanquish project sites and offices continue to stay compliant with standards set by Occupa-tional Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA), and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), as well as Van-quish’s more stringent safety standards.

Safety in the workplace is the #1 priority at each company within the Vanquish family and we strive to provide the right tools and training to keep our employees and students safe.

A few of the ways we do this is by:

9 Daily pre-shift truck and equipment inspections including tires, fuel lines, braking system, etc. 9 Annual First Aid/CPR/AED training 9 Promoting effective hazard communication and safety observations on each job site through routine safety meetings and

discussions 9 Hiring drivers and employees who are proactive when it comes to safety at home and on the job 9 Disposing of materials, packaging and other substances in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws

At Vanquish Worldwide, we continue to make safety the top priority and grow our safety first culture throughout the entire Vanquish family for the benefit of our employees and students.

SAFETY FIRST!

4 Delivering Excellence 4 Vanquish Worldwide News | May 2014

With the addition of our 2nd quarter 2014 contract awards and customer growth, Vanquish continues to have a solid presence in the field of transportation both internationally supporting the US government and domestically supporting commercial clients in the southeast and across the United States (U.S.). In addition, Vanquish continues to support U.S. Army soldiers in Hawaii and the Army Corps of Engineers in Tennessee.

NATIONAL AFGHAN TRUCKING (NAT) 1.5With the June award of the National Afghan Trucking (NAT) 1.5 contract, Vanquish continues supporting U.S. troops, forward operating bases (FOBs) and U.S. retrograde efforts throughout Afghanistan. NAT 1.5, a $200M IDIQ contract, was issued as a bridge contract to fill the time gap between the end of NAT 1.0 and the award and commencement of NAT 2.0. NAT 1.5 was awarded to only 8 prime transportation contractors with Vanquish continuing to be the only U.S. based company and small business working on NAT. To date on NAT 1.0 and NAT 1.5 combined, we have completed over 13,650 missions and have driven approximately 3,203,450 miles carrying fuel, dry goods or heavy cargo. We have stayed optimistic about a NAT 2.0 award as we are eager to continue work on NAT and assist U.S. troops in further retrograde and deployment efforts across the Afghan region. In June, Vanquish Worldwide received a verbal award for the $600M IDIQ NAT 2.0 contract; official awards are planned for 3rd quarter 2014.

SUPPORT SERVICES, US ARMY GARRISONIn addition to continuing work in Afghanistan, in February and March 2014 Vanquish teamed up with GAP Solutions, Inc.

(GAPsi) and submitted a proposal to continue current work for the U.S. Army Garrison providing base support services to U.S. Army soldiers in Hawaii. We were awarded the contract (one year base plus two option years) and commenced work on the 23rd of June. Vanquish’s hard working contract personnel based at Schofield Barracks have provided a seamless transition onto the new contract and work with GAPsi to ensure contract requirements are met as we continue to DELIVER EXCELLENCE to the government and U.S. Army soldiers.

HVAC INSTALLATION FORT LOUDON LOCKVanquish has also increased its local East Tennessee presence during the 2nd quarter by winning and successfully executing an HVAC installation contract at the Fort Loudon Lock, only 20 miles from our headquarter location. We commenced work on June 19th as our skilled mechanics began HVAC system installation services. This is the second recent U.S. Army Corps of Engineers HVAC services contract that Vanquish has been awarded and we are on our way to another successfully and on-time contract completion.

Additionally, Vanquish has continue its emphasis on U.S. commercial trucking with additional client growth throughout the 2nd quarter. Vanquish has over 20 commercial clients across the U.S. with plans to expand our fleet as our client base continues to grow.

Be sure to check Vanquish Worldwide’s website at GoVanquish.com to read more about these and other current and past projects.

5 Vanquish Worldwide News | September 2014

For some, government contracting and invoicing may be difficult to understand and manage on a daily basis but for Vanquish Worldwide’s Claims & Quality Control Manager, Cody Schlomer, and Contracts Manager, Shayne Henderson, this process has been well developed with claim procedure and criteria well defined.

Their hard work and dedication, as well as that of their team, has proved to be extremely ef-fective and fruitful for Vanquish Worldwide over the past year. Claims and contracts personnel work together daily to review and compile NAT mission sheets and contract documentation, paid and unpaid invoices, and GPS files (ping shots). They develop and submit well document-ed claim reports for the U.S. government to review and prompt payment action.

ROUTINE CONTRACT & CLAIM TASKS WE PERFORM FOR NAT INCLUDE:

• Reviewing mission reports and preparing payments for our subcontractors• Filing claims for completed yet unpaid transportation missions• Filing claims for demurrage (i.e. charges Vanquish incurred due to detained shipments

by the U.S. government)

Since September 2013, Vanquish personnel have been busy filing claims for the recently completed NAT 1.0 contract. To expedite these claims over the past 4 months, Cody and Shayne developed a high performing team utilizing Marsha Sliker full time, as well as six other temporary employees and interns.

AS A TEAM, THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO:

• Prepare over 5,500 truck locating/tracking GPS (ping shot) files – some of which had 50-60 ping shots per file• Complete demurrage claims for approximately 4,400 completed missions in Afghanistan• Prepare claims for approximately 1,200 completed yet unpaid missions

With Vanquish’s recent NAT 1.5 contract award, the claims process will continue strong with monthly documented claims submitted for completed yet unpaid missions and demurrage charges.

The Scoop on Claims and Contract Management for Vanquish’s National Afghanistan Trucking Contracts

Here is a screen shot of a GPS truck locating/tracking file (ping shot). It shows numerous trucks around the military base at Bagram. The contracts team prepared over 5,500 of these files.

Step Deck Drivers: Richard Lott, Scot Spence and Jonathan Reynolds

Dry Van Drivers: Richard Westphal, Daniel & Andrea Stephens, Gerald & Robin Wilson and Robert Rhyne

Have you ever wondered what the drivers are listening to while going down the road? We recently asked a few of them and got a surprising variety, everything from Hip/Hop R&B to Classic Rock to Country. The most interesting thing that we learned about one our drivers is that he has an Alpaca farm. Can you guess which Vanquish driver?

The Foothills Land Conservancy, a private non-profit organiza-tion operating as a land trust, is dedicated to the preservation of the rich wildlife habitats, and the agriculture, scenic, and cul-tural resources of the foothills to the Great Smoky Mountains. Stretching through the band of counties that extends from the Cumberland Plateau to the Appalachian Mountains – this di-verse landscape of East Tennessee has been enjoyed by genera-tions of families. From working farms to woodlands, watersheds to community parks, the Conservancy has assisted in the preser-vation of 30,000 acres in 18 Tennessee counties.

The ultimate goal of the Foothills Land Conservancy is to lead the way to an East Tennessee that is a healthy place for both people and wildlife.

LexLin Gypsy Ranch believes in this preservation and has supported the Land Conservancy through monetary and land donations totaling over $3.1 million. Those of us living around Lex-

11 Vanquish Worldwide News | September 2014

Refreshments, live music, door prizes, local dignitaries and even exotic hors-es were part of Vanquish Worldwide’s June Ribbon Cutting ceremony and it made for a celebration to remember!

On June 13, 2014 hundreds of people came out to officially welcome Van-quish Worldwide to Maryville, Tennessee and learn more about Vanquish and its sister companies: Front Range Training & Consulting (FRTC), Peak Technical Institute (PTI), and LexLin Gypsy Ranch.

President & CEO, Eric Barton, along with wife Mechelle Barton, wanted to make the event one that the Vanquish family would be proud of, an event to celebrate the many years of accomplishments and success, as well as the fast growing and positive direction Vanquish, PTI, FRTC and LexLin are headed.

Dignitaries throughout East Tennessee attended the event in support of Vanquish and during the ribbon cutting ceremony Mayor Tom Taylor spoke on behalf of the City of Maryville. Vanquish employees were also delighted to have Mayor Ed Mitchell from Blount County and Blount County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors Chair Dave Bennett in attendance. State House Representa-tive from District 8, Art Swann and Keith Abraham from Senator Lamar Alexander’s Office were also in attendance to show their support.

Being a Service Disabled Veteran Owed Small Business who employs many veterans, our staff was truly honored by the large num-ber of veterans in attendance at the celebration. Rich Gill represented the Vietnam Veterans of America out of Knoxville, bringing with him Buzz Buswell, the Director of Veteran Services for Knox County, and Bill Robinson, the longest held enlisted POW of the Vietnam War (7 ½ years).

All those in attendance were able to witness LTC Melvin Clawson, Commander of the McGhee Tyson TN Army National Guard 1-230th Air Calvary Squadron (ACS) present Eric Barton with a framed photograph of a 58d Kiowa Warrior helicopter, which is flown by the 1-230th ACS. This was a touching moment as we remembered the 1-230th squadron who deployed to Afghanistan in February of this year to support government retrograde efforts.

The highlight of the afternoon was of course the cutting of the ribbon on the steps of the new Vanquish Worldwide Corporate Headquarters. But this was made even more special with the attendance of Tiffany Midyett, Vanquish’s Vice President of Business Development, who was instrumental in helping establish Vanquish from the beginning and who had been battling cancer over the last year. Tiffany recently lost her battle with cancer which makes the photographs and memories of this event so much more meaningful than we could have imagined.

During the ribbon cutting, Eric was also surrounded by his supportive family, employees of Vanquish Worldwide, Front Range Train-ing & Consulting, Peak Technical Institute, and LexLin Gypsy Ranch, local community members, friends, and colleagues from across the country. Overall the event was a huge success reveling on where Vanquish Worldwide had started from and the hard work and dedicated personnel that are taking Vanquish, FRTC, PTI and LexLin to the next level, DELIVERING EXCELLENCE locally and across the world!

US MARINE CORPS SCHOLARSHIP GALA On the evening of Saturday June 14th, thirteen Vanquish team members were in Washington DC to attend the USMC Scholarship Gala and represent Vanquish Worldwide and the recent endowment of $100,000,000. With the creation of this Vanquish Worldwide Scholarship we are able to provide need-based academic scholarships to children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen, some of which have a parent killed or wounded in combat.

The USMC Scholarship Foundation is the nation’s oldest and largest provider of need-based academic scholarships to military children. At Vanquish we feel supporting this worthy organization complements our company’s mission of DELIVERING EXCELLENCE by supporting the children of those who protect this country and our freedoms. We also feel it is a natural fit for our organization to give back by providing education opportunities to others.
