With Strictly winning the ratings war by 4million viewers, when we caught up with Louis Walsh last week, we wanted to know what he thought Simon should do to get The X Factor back on track. And shocker, it mainly related to himself. “The ratings are down because Dermot and I are missed,”

Louis told heat with the straightest of faces. “It’s true. I worked hard with Simon, [but] we had fun – they’re missing the fun factor.” You know what, Louis? You made that show your own.

Simon: “I’ve lifted Calvin’s X Factor ban”

exclusively told heat at the Music Industry Trust Awards in aid of charities Nordoff Robbins and the BRIT Trust. And looking back at what happened, Simon graciously added, “I thought it was hilarious.” Suuuure you did, Simon.
