Public where we continue to inspire, show integrity and inclusion
for all.
SRC
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank and congratulate the
students who have represented their classes being SRC
representatives from the start of the year until now. This week,
classes will be running elections for two students to represent their
class for the remainder of 2020.
Covid-19 Update
Schools are operating full time while actively following health advice.
Schools continue to be safe, and operations are in line with Australian Health
Protection Principal Committee (AHPPC) and NSW Health advice. All students should
be learning at school unless they are unwell or have a medical certificate to support
their absence.
The activities that are permitted at school will be conducted in a way that is safe and
appropriate in the current environment. Those that remain on hold will be reviewed
during the term and will recommence when appropriate based on health and other
relevant advice.
Please refer to Class Dojo School story or this following website;
https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/advice-for-families#School1 for the 17th August update.
Book Week
I am very excited about one of my favourite days of our school year! I am desperately
trying to find an outfit that reflects one of my favourite books to wear on Thursday the
27th August. Maybe I can borrow Mr Dougherty’s famous pirate costume. A big thank
you to Miss Phillips for organising our very first Book Fair website, which will open this
Thursday so that students and parents can look over available books before they go
on sale.
Education Week Raffle winners
Congratulations to our winners of the Education Week raffle. Students received tickets
through the week for demonstrating school values. The raffle was drawn at the Silver
Assembly. Infants winner: Imogene Stokes and Primary winner: Chase Slattery.
We are an amazing learning community and thank you for your continuing support.

requirements of the Department of Education.
Should any parent/carer wish to see a teacher, please arrange a suitable time for a meeting via Class Dojo. Any messages or notifications can also be made via Class Dojo.
Thank you for your support.
ABSENCES We ask that parents and carers notify the front office on telephone 8087 3522 if your child will be absent from school and the reasons why.

Please also continue to notify your class teacher of any absences.
Book Fair
Book Fair is just around the corner now! And I’m so excited to announce…
We have our very own BOOK FAIR WEBSITE!!! :)
The website will not work until it goes LIVE on Thursday 20th August at 4:30pm.
The web address for our website is:
https://sites.google.com/education.nsw.gov.au/bhpsbookfair
The students will also be coming home with a checklist for selecting and
purchasing books from our book fair.
Our Book Fair Parade is on Thursday 27th August and the theme this year is
Curious Creatures, Wild Minds. I can’t wait to see everyone’s creative costume
ideas this year!
Your overly-excited Teacher Librarian,
Miss Phillips
