One of the West End’s biggest comedy hits is set to take the UK
by storm as Bill Kenwright’s critically acclaimed ‘savagely funny’,
‘seriously hilarious’, and ‘dazzling’ production of Alan
Ayckbourn’s Absurd Person Singular comes to Woking.
It’s party time at the Hopcrofts and the only present they want
is to succeed in scaling the social ladder. Havoc ensues at the
drinks party they hold to impress their high-powered friends - but
that’s nothing compared to what happens over the next two years
when the friends return their hospitality!
Featuring an all star cast including Lisa Kay, best-known as
Nurse Carol Cassidy in ITV1’s Heartbeat, Elizabeth Carling,
well known for her lead performances in Casualty, Goodnight
Sweetheart and Barbara, Matthew Cottle, who starred in the
hilarious BBC comedy Game On, Stephen Beckett, well-known
from Coronation Street and The Bill, Deborah Grant, whose
numerous starring roles include Bergerac and the BBC’s hit
series Not Going Out and Robert Duncan, best known as Gus
from the Channel Four cult comedy hit Drop the Dead Donkey.
A classic comedy with outrageous characters -
this is Ayckbourn at his best!

AN ALL STAR CAST IN THEWEST END’S BIGGEST COMEDY HIT
Composed by Claude-Michel Schönberg
Choreography by David Nixon
‘He’s more myself than I am. Whatever our souls are made of, his and mine are the same...’
Passionate and obsessive, Cathy and Heathcliff’s love is as unruly
and dangerous as the Yorkshire moors that surrounds them. As
children they are inseparable, running wild and free on the moors,
but over time their childish affection deepens into an overwhelming
love - a devastating force that even death cannot destroy.
Northern Ballet Theatre is one of the UK’s leading ballet
companies whose dancers’ ability to capture the spirit of their
characters draws audiences into the story in a way that makes
their productions more than just dance.
With an original score by celebrated composer Claude-Michel
Schönberg, known for his West End and Broadway hits
Les Miserables and Miss Saigon, see this turbulent love story
brought to life in Northern Ballet Theatre’s adaptation of
Emily Brontë’s romantic masterpiece.

A brand new adaptation of Graham Greene’s bestselling novel and
satirical masterpiece is brought brilliantly to life. Directed by the
award winning Richard Baron (original director of the inspired
spoof production, The 39 Steps), this riotous production delivered
at breakneck speed with tremendous wit, verve and energy, is a
deliciously clever parody of the spying game.
Our Man in Havana tells the hilarious story of the hapless
Wormwold, a vacuum cleaner salesman based in Cuba, who allows
himself to be recruited into the UK secret service. Desperate to
placate Whitehall, he resorts to lies and fabrications, feeding a
series of highly ingenious plots and conspiracies to his handlers.
However, when reality starts to mirror his creative stories,
Wormwold, our man in the linen suit and the dark shades,
finds himself in a disastrous spot of bother.
Our Man in Havana stars four stalwarts of the British stage and
screen. Simon Shepherd is joined by Philip Franks (Heartbeat),
Norman Pace (Hale & Pace) and Beth Cordingly (The Bill).

Matthew Bourne has achieved worldwide success with his
series of highly popular productions including Nutcracker!,
Edward Scissorhands, The Car Man and Swan Lake.
When Bourne’s production of Oscar Wilde’s Dorian Gray
premiered at the Edinburgh Festival in 2008 it became the
most successful dance production ever staged at the Festival.
It went on to have a critically acclaimed sell-out season
at London’s Sadler’s Wells and now comes to Woking
as part of a major international tour.
This sensational new production, from the UK’s most popular
dance/theatre company, turns Oscar Wilde’s gothic fable into
a darkly seductive dance theatre event from master storyteller
Matthew Bourne. The destructive power of beauty, the blind
pursuit of pleasure and the darkness and corruption that hide
beneath the charming façade are themes of Wilde’s cautionary
tale that have never been more timely.

‘Murder, greed, corruption, exploitation, adultery and treachery -
all those things we hold near and dear to our hearts.’
So begins the international award-winning musical, Chicago
starring Gary Wilmot as Billy Flynn and Emma Barton
(EastEnders) as Roxie Hart.
Based on real life events back in the roaring 1920s, nightclub
singer Roxie Hart shoots her lover and, along with cell block
rival, double-murderess Velma Kelly, they fight to keep from
death row with the help of smooth talking lawyer, Billy Flynn.
Created by the musical theatre talents of John Kander, Fred
Ebb and legendary choreographer Bob Fosse, Chicago’s sexy,
sassy score includes All That Jazz and Razzle Dazzle. With 6
Tony, 2 Olivier, 1 Grammy, 2 Bafta and 6 Academy Awards,

TRACESby Les 7 Doigts de la Main (The 7 Fingers)
Since taking the Edinburgh Festival by
storm in 2007, followed by sell out seasons
in London’s West End, New York, Paris
and Montreal, award-winning Traces
tours the UK for the first time.
Traces is a high energy, dazzling display
of urban acrobatics that combines
traditional circus skills with basketball,
skateboarding, a mix of street and
contemporary dance, traditional theatre,
humour and amazing audio visual effects.
Set to a soundtrack that includes hip-hop,
rock and roll, blues and classical music,
this infectious funky pioneering new
brand of circus is a thrill-a-minute that
will leave you begging for more.
The five ultra talented performers
reveal snippets of their own personal
stories throughout the show, drawing the
audience in until the dramatic climax
leaves them on the edge of their seats.
