This fleet, it is report-ed on good authority, numbers atleast three first-class battle-ships and four aircraft carriersin addition to an unknown'numberof cruisers and destroyers. Sucha fleet at large in the Atlanticcould well forecast the beginning*f those air attacks with whichHitler threatened America lastmonthThat -fee Office of- Civilian Defenseis not unaware cf the proximity ofthis threat was demonstrated lastweek in the address made by Col.Frank EfcNamee, Jr., assistant re-gional OCD director, at the open-ing in New York of a five-day in-tensive course in civilian pro-tection for defense officials ofNew York,New Jersey and Delaware."You may','he warned his listeners,"be getting into the big gelme anymoment now.     REQUIRED TRAININGA deadline has been set by thezone v/ardens for the completionof wardens* and firewatchers*training. Those who havo not com-pleted their training by thattime will be dropped from the ser-vice, except for those sectorswhere coverage is not adequate orwhere illness has made"completionof training impossible.As most of you know, New JerseyCivilian Defense regulations spe-cify that wardens* and fire-,watchers* armbands arc to be wornonly by those who havo completedthe courses and havo'been finger-printed, nd sworn in.To date 564 wardens and 215 fire-watchers havo completed all thecourses and received their ident-ification cards* Special commen-dation is duo tlio following sec-tors in which all personnel havecomnletoly qualified:Sector 10 Mr .
