GLARE PROFESSIONAL POLISH has taken the industry by storm since itsfirst introduction to the professional trade in 1999. One of GLARE’s first customers was the L.A.P.D. where GLARE was being used, not just for their cars and motorcycles, but for their helicopters because of its unique property to significantly reduce the air-drag coefficient of their air-ships, giving them 5-10% savings in fuel consumption. Soon after, the word spread from the L.A.P.D and GLARE was being purchased by the MTA of Los Angeles. By 2002 GLARE was being sold on five different continents around the world and winning high praises by both professionals and enthusiasts alike including the custom painter for Chip Foose, Mitch Lanzini of Lanzini Body Works in Huntington Beach, California. In 2004, after extensive laboratory testing by HONDA and use by their Indy and Superbike Racing Teams, GLARE received full fledged endorsement by HONDA RACING and was commissioned by HONDA MOTOR CORPORATION to develop their premium polish under their PRO HONDA OILS AND CHEMICALS label called “HONDA GLARE PROFESSIONAL POLISH.” Around the same time GLARE started to be purchased and used by European Detail Specialists Inc which is the exclusive detailer for the Barret-Jackson Classic Car Auction. In 2008 the USAF commissioned BOEING to test GLARE for approval. GLARE passed with flying colors and was approved for use on AIRFORCE ONE. This is only the beginning...

FAQQ: What is GLARE?A: GLARE is an ultra high gloss, all weather, temperature flexible polish/sealant containing a brand new proprietary active ingredient called Glassplexin®.Q: What makes GLARE different from all the rest?A: GLARE does not contain any of the active ingredients utilized by all other wax, polish, and sealant products. All other products contain natural wax which are either plant derived (carnauba) or animal derived (bees wax), synthetic wax which are either polymer based (PTFE aka Teflon®) or acrylic- polymer resin based (Klasse®), silicone, or any combination of the above mentioned ingredients. GLARE contains non of these.Q: Why doesn’t GLARE contain natural wax or synthetic wax?A: GLARE does not contain natural wax or synthetic wax (i.e. polymers or silicone) for many reasons. First, wax has a low melting point (140 degs F for carnauba wax, and approx 180 degs F for syn wax depending on the type of polymer it is made from). Wax that has been applied to the paint will melt from the sun. When this happens the melted wax superheats the paint and clear-coat, literally frying and accelerating the degradation of the paint. Second, the pH of carnauba wax is well below 7 which means its acidic. Acids will destroy the paint finish after repeated or long term use.

Page 5: New glarepowerpoint

Third, wax is not optically clear. In fact waxes are opaque in color and because of this they leave a milky, hazy, cloudy finish on the paint. Fourth, because wax is a resin and does not molecularly bond to paint or clear-coat, it only temporarily masks and hides scratches as a filler cover-up. After 2-3 weeks or the first wash the wax is gone and the scratches it was hiding are visible once again. Finally, despite what many products proclaim, waxes and polymers do not filter enough of the sun’s UV rays to stop UV ray discoloration from occurring to the paint after time. No matter how often you wax your car the paint is still going to discolor from UV rays and air oxidation.Q: If GLARE does not contain wax or polymers (i.e. silicone) then what does it contain?A: GLARE contains a new type of chemical formulation developed exclusively by ULTRA 2000 MFG. INT’L. INC. called GLASSPLEXIN® . Glassplexin® is a negatively charged silicate ionic compound that has chemical reactivity with paint and clear-coat.Q: How does GLASSPLEXIN® work?A: Glassplexin® takes advantage of the fact that the paint or clear-coat has become positively charged through a Redox reaction (Reduction/Oxidation reaction) between the paint and the Oxygen in the air. As soon as brand new paint begins to cure it starts to oxidize from coming in contact with the oxygen in the air. This oxidation occurs throughout the entire lifetime of the paint. The way it works is an oxygen molecule in the air robs an electron (e-) from

Page 6: New glarepowerpoint

the paint molecule when they come in contact with each other. This is called a Redox reaction or reduction/oxidation reaction. In this reaction the oxygen molecule has become “reduced” by gaining the electron and the paint molecule has become “oxidized” by losing the electron. The paint is now positively charged. Because Glassplexin® is a negatively charged Silicate ion and the paint is positively charged, the Silicate ionic compound is able to molecularly bond to the paint or clear-coat through the sharing of valence electrons in the outer electron orbit of the silicate’s reactive element. This exchange of electrons creates what is called in chemistry a “Covalent Bond” between the Glassplexin® and the paint or clear-coat and is the strongest of all chemical bonds. This chemical reaction, not only reverses all oxidation, but also alters the chemical identity of the paint or clear-coat from its original chemical composition into a new glass/paint hybrid substance. This new “Superpaint” is optically clear, has a lower drag coefficient, an extremely high surface tension, a temperature range down to negative 250 degs F and up to 650 degs F, the ability to filter out 98% of the suns UVA/UVB rays, blocks out corrosion from both natural and man made substances(i.e. road tar, road salt, acid rain, bugs, bird droppings, industrial fallout, spray paint vandalism, hard water spots, eggs, etc..), blocks out

air oxidation, all while providing the richest high definition three dimensional depth of gloss not achievable with any other product in the world’s market. GLASSPLEXIN® allows the enthusiast to achieve an ultra glossy wet look to their paint without the greasiness of resin or wax. In other words, you get the wet look but its actually a dry shine with all the additional benefits mentioned above.Q: How long does GLARE last?A: GLARE will last up to 5 years on automobile paint.Q: Does GLARE bead water?A: Wax causes water to bead on a car because of surface tension. GLARE has such a high surface tension that it takes water beading to the next level. With GLARE water wont just bead it will actually sheet off the vehicle.Q: How long do you have to wait before applying GLARE to a freshly painted vehicle?A: Unlike wax which cannot be applied to a freshly painted vehicle for at least 3 weeks (because wax traps paint vapors and does not allow paint to breath so that it can properly cure), GLARE can be applied as soon as 24 hours after the vehicle has been painted without any adverse effects. GLARE allows fresh paint to breath and cure properly.

Q: Can GLARE be used on other parts of the car besides the paint?A: Yes, Absolutely! GLARE can be used on a variety of materials. GLARE can also be used on glass, fiberglass, plexiglass, carbon fiber, plastic, chrome, aluminum, all metal alloys, and also repairs scratched cd’s and dvd’s. Q: I ride a motorcycle, can I apply GLARE to my helmet after I’m done applying it to my bike?A: Yes. In fact, not only will GLARE shine up and protect the finish of your helmet but it will also provide you with an optically clear visor for clear vision and safer riding. GLARE will cause the rain to sheet off of the visor. Also, bugs wont stick to the helmet after a day of riding. One wipe of a damp cloth is all you will need to clean them. Another great aspect about GLARE is on motorcycles (and cars) you can polish the exhaust pipes and the GLARE will not burn off like wax does because GLARE is good up to 650 degs F.Q: Can I apply GLARE to my boat?A: Yes, GLARE will last one year on a fresh water boat, and 6 months on a saltwater boat. Also, GLARE will reduce the amount of barnacles that like to attach to the hull.

Page 9: New glarepowerpoint

Q: Can I apply GLARE to my airplane?A: Yes you can. GLARE has been tested and approved by BOEING for use on aircraft paint. Also, GLARE will improve the performance and reduce the fuel consumption of your aircraft due to the reduction of the air-drag coefficient.Q: How is GLARE applied?A: GLARE can either be applied by machine buffer with a foam polishing wheel, or by hand with a microfiber cloth.Q: Will GLARE increase the value of my vehicle?A: Yes. The first thing a buyer sees when looking to purchase a vehicle is the paint. If the paint looks stunning then you will be more inclined to get a higher price for the vehicle.Q: Is GLARE environmentally safe?A: GLARE is 100% VOC compliant. In fact, GLARE passes VOC requirements with flying colors because GLARE only contains 5% petroleum solvent and 95% active ingredients making it the most concentrated product compared to the all the other products in this product category.Q: Is there anything that GLARE cant do?A: GLARE cant repaint your car, but more often times then not it can save you from having to repaint.
