Welcome to our monthly newsletter for its tenth edition for the year 2018.

First allow me to thanks all our business partners for participating with us for the celebration o the UAE Flag Day as a sign and spirit of union.

The month of October was a very dynamic for the Maritime Industry with TMS and SMA awards and Seatrade MME exhibition not only recognized the efforts of the industry leader and achievers but also provided networking opportunities for the participants and visitors.

The details of the events are shared in the newsletter.

I would like to also announce the following organizational key change that the core functions (Operations, Reservations, Technical, Real Estate and Safety & Environment) of both DMC and Jadaf units will be headed by Engineer Ali Bin Towaih Al Suwaidi, General Manager of DMC .

THE MARITIME STANDARD AWARDS

Held under the patronage of H.E. Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem,Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation and Chairman of Dubai Maritime City Authority, DMC had sponsored Shipyard of The Year Award and the winner was Albwardy Damen The event was attended by more than 700 attendees, bringing together key maritime industry leaders and government officials. The awards recognize the best maritime industry achievements from across the Middle East, Indian Subcontinent and Africa and enable them to utilize the networking opportunities by being part of this of prestigious event.

THE SEATRADE MARITIME AWARDS

Held under the patronage of his Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoom, President , Dubai Civil Aviation Authority and Chairman event and Chief Executive, Emirates Airline and Group, on 15th October. The leading companies and Maritime industry leaders were awarded for their achievements and contributions to the industry in the Middle East and Indian Subcontinent.

DMC had sponsored the Deal of the Year award and the winner was International Maritime Industries.

It was great occasion for networking it attracted more than 700 business leaders from all the sector in the industry and close to 70 Countries.

SEATRADE MARITIME MIDDLE EASTDubai Maritime City has participated to the Seatrade Maritime Middle East Conference and Expo that was held at the Dubai World Trade Center from 29 to 31 of October. Under DMC participated as a Maritime Cluster along with its business partners MaK Middle East, Reintjes Middle East, Al SUHAIL and Drydocks World.

The concept was to go with a bigger platform, multiple services under one roof, cost effective and pass on the corporate benefits (complete setup of the stand, marketing and etc.) to all DMC business partners.

This joint participation was a grand success because of many factors such

services, ample seating space to meet

with potential clients, refreshments

and inventive stand design that was

open from all the sides to welcomed

all visitors.

Mr.Panicker, Managing Director of Al SUHAIL Ship Management Services LLC, said 'The Seatrade event is a platform which allow us to meet industry leaders and explore trends and insights in all verticals of the maritime world. Our participation to the exhibition was on the plan to showcase our product and services. When we received the proposal from DMC to participate under one pavilion

we welcomed the idea and it was a great success for us and the other participant as well . We look forward tocontinuing our relationship with Seatrade as we promote and develop our maritime cluster around the newly expanded Panama Canal"
