VirtualEdge® Network Connectivity Westell’s VirtualEdge® offers a complete line of copper/fiber
solutions to serve your network needs. With efficient all-in-one fiber
terminations, splice trays and slack storage to simplify the ordering
process. In addition, the VirtualEdge line of products also include
secure access enclosures for customer hand-off, as well as panels that
provide a standard interface for a variety of DAS, Small Cell and Cell
back-haul applications.
Product offerings include:
Fiber Termination Drawers (FTD)• VirtualEdge FTD panels provide an efficient all-in-one solution that
includes adapters, splice trays, fiber cables and slack storage.
Connectivity Panels• VirtualEdge connectivity panels provide a standard interface for a
variety of copper and fiber applications such as Ethernet, Small Cell
and DAS deployments.
Connectivity Enclosures• VirtualEdge Connectivity Enclosure is a secure access system with
built-in demarcation that offers flexibility to handle copper, coax,
and fiber connectivity.
Cable Management• Panel and wall mount products providing cable slack storage with
open architecture or secured within a slide out drawer.

Westell’s Fiber Termination Drawers provide efficient all-
in-one fiber terminations, connections and slack storage.
The slide-out 1 RU drawer is ideal for universal mounting in
19” or 23” racks, complete with convenient composite cable
management at the exterior rear of the drawer. This rack-
mount assembly’s pull-out drawer and removable top cover
offer easy access.

Westell’s line of VirtualEdge® Connectivity Panels are used to
provide a standard interface for a variety of DAS, Small Cell,
and Ethernet deployments that can be delivered to end-users
in a 19” or 23” relay rack or data cabinet, or in a wall-mounted
configuration. The panels can be used to terminate any combination
of 10/100/1000 Mbps, DS3, SONET, or other services by selecting
the proper adapter interface for any position. Westell’s panels can
be equipped with rings and a tray for improved cable management.

Westell’s VirtualEdge® Enclosure is a secure access hand-off
solution that offers flexibility to handle copper, coax, and fiber
connectivity. The VirtualEdge Enclosure’s unique swinging
bulkhead design minimizes the mounting footprint while giving
both network and customer technician’s adequate room for
terminating fiber and managing cables. These features make
the VirtualEdge Enclosure ideal for DAS, Small Cell, fiber-to-
the-premise deployments and Ethernet services in multi-tenant
buildings where tenants have access to network equipment.
