Accademic

In 2008 a spin-off of the group was founded with the collaborationof researchers from Benevento University (Università degli Studi delSannio).

The group is still deeply connected with the academic world and ithas a strong relationship with 3 of the major universities in Italy.

Inter operability testing

Interoperability tests are performedbetween Mobile devices provided byseveral vendors and the network. Thetest cases are executed on bothlaboratory and field environment andon different network technologieslike GSM, UMTS, LTE.

Radio tests aim to check theconnection and transmissionbetween the device and the network.The Application side covers with allthe services like Streaming, Playback,Video call, SMS, MMS, E-mail,Browsing, Bluetooth, etc.


Media television

Function and Validation tests are performed on bothdevice side (STB, device companion screen) andNetwork side.The test cases are executed on both laboratory andlive environment (DVB-S -S2/T – T2/C/H).Netcom has internal laboratories.

STB section includes the check of softwareembedded, software dedicated (InteractiveApplication), Electronic Program Guide, ConditionalAccess Control, Hardware functionality.

Application ITV consists of application developmentand validation for STBs, SmartTv, Console and Tablet.

Network tests are executed to validate the PMT,Carousel Management and Streaming A/V.
