WPS77 Pumping Station Nepean Dam, Australia
The Nepean Dam is located
some 100 km south-west of Sydney
and has a storage capacity of
52,000 megalitres.
Convincing pump technology
For its supply of drinking water, the city of Sydney puts its trust in KSB. Our high-
efficiency water transport pumps of the RDLO series (WPS77 pumping station) are
used to tap raw water from the lowest point of the Nepean dam and to transport it
to a filtration plant, where it is treated and then pumped on to Sydney through
a network of pipelines.

Efficient teamwork
Thanks to our many years of experience of manufacturing
axially split volute casing pumps, the RDLO pumps were able
to shake off numerous competitive products.
Designed for durability, RDLO pumps transport fluids at
maximum efficiency. This helps keep energy costs down and
considerably reduce the pumping plant,s life cycle costs.
The design and modular structure of RDLO pumps allow
their operating parameters to be optimally matched to the
customer’s individual duty conditions. The pumps operate
equally reliably at high and low water levels.
As early as in the pre-project phase, KSB was on hand to help
the project team with things like designing the pumping
station and supplying calculations. KSB specialists supplied
the customer with the necessary support, both in situ and
from the Competence Center in Germany.
