About the Mathematics Department
The Department of Mathematics was one of the first four departments started in erstwhile post-graduate centre, Warangal, of Osmania University in 1967. The PG centre was upgraded into Kakatiya University in the year 1976 and Mathematics department became a full fledged one. The department is offering M.sc. and Ph.D. programmes in Mathematics and Applied Mathematics. The department is supporting SDLCE, Department of Chemistry, Department of Informatics, College of Pharmacy and College of Engineering, in teaching and research activities. The faculty is engaged in research in the areas of Complex analysis, Algebra, Reliability Theory, Operations Research, Elasticity, Poroelasticity, Biomechanics, Differential Equations, Internet Traffic Modeling and Performance Analysis of Internet Router. The department has been striving hard towards promoting interdisciplinary concepts amongst students, faculty members and researchers of various departments.
About the Conference
This is an interdisciplinary event consisting of invited talks & contributed papers to be organized by the Department of Mathematics, Kakatiya University. NCAMEI - 2013 provides a platform for researchers, engineers, industrialists and academicians to exchange their latest views and information about applications of Mathematics in various fields and to acquire experience from the existing developments and to explore future evolutions. The authors are requested to submit their original papers in MS Word only. The papers presented in the conference will be peer-reviewed by a research committee. The papers which are recommended for publication by the research committee will be published in the conference proceedings. The organizing committee is planning to bring out the conference proceedings in the form of a special issue of a journal possessing ISBN/ISSN number.
