welcome*Survey participants: first timers, math coaches, classroom teachers, central office, principals, etcThis will allow us to modify presentation accordingly.*Share cartoon. How many of you have heard Dont ask me. I dont do math. How about I dont do reading. This has got to stop!*Common Core State Standards for Mathematics has not changed any standards but you may have noticed the numbering system has been slightly modified by the writers. They have now added a letter to identify the bold heading of each Domain.Standards have not changed but the numbering system has changed slightly. We wanted to notify you of this change so as you encounter this new numbering system youll understand how it relates to the original CCSS numbering system which is what North Carolina is using at this time.

*MSP information can be found on the formal DPI website as well as the science and math wiki. Please let them know that they can review the RFP and still apply even though the intent to apply window has passed. For more information have them contact Beverly Vance.**Third grade**Grade 7-12 nominate someone today! 2012 Karen A. Blase and Dean L. Fixsen**Work with the math friends around you to**Survey group for familiarity.Refer task completed in algebraFind this in your standardsCarry across all grade levelsDescribe habits of a mathematically expert studentThe Common Core proposes a set of Mathematical Practices that all teachers should develop in their students. These practices are similar to the mathematical processes that NCTM addresses in the Process Standards in Principles and Standards for School Mathematics. These can be implemented now even before content goes into effect.
