(Public) Sponsors: Referred to: March 27, 2013 *H436-v-2* A BILL TO BE ENTITLED 1 AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE JOINT LEGISLATIVE ELECTIONS OVERSIGHT 2 COMMITTEE TO STUDY AN AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION OF NORTH 3 CAROLINA TO HAVE THE GOVERNOR AND LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR RUN AS 4 A TEAM ON THE GENERAL ELECTION BALLOT. 5 The General Assembly of North Carolina enacts: 6 SECTION 1.(a) The Joint Legislative Elections Oversight Committee shall study 7 the topics listed in this act and shall report its findings, together with any recommended 8 legislation, to the 2014 Regular Session of the 2013 General Assembly upon its convening. 9 SECTION 1.(b) Gubernatorial Team Ticket (H.B. 436 – Jones) – The Committee 10 may study amending the constitution of the State to provide that the Governor and Lieutenant 11 Governor file and run as a team. 12 SECTION 2. This act is effective when it becomes law. 13
