LEARNING DISORDERS Attention Deficit Disorder?(ADHD)

The common diagnosis of attention deficit(hyperactivity) disorder - AD(H)D - usually impliesthat the child has a deficiency, or "lack" of attention. The HANDLE® Institute, contends that no one has

an attention deficit and ILT supports this view.DYSLEXIA

The term "dyslexia" is a catch-all phrase for reading and/orlanguage problems. Although reading, writing, spelling andother language activities are often associated with dyslexia,

trying to help by improving reading, writing and spelling with a tutor will not result in much success. It is vitally important to identify the underlying causes of theseproblems so that they may be addressed.

Integrated learning therapy All learning requires a process made up of three basic steps:  AIM

To help each individual realise their unique potential.

The first involves the process of sensation. This means that all incominginformation to the brain occurs through the senses (sensation).in the scene todevelop the scensonary capacity, such as touch, taste, sight, hearing and smell.

Unit wise teaching Once the ‘raw data’ from various sensory organs has reached the brain, it is

forwarded to specialized areas which make sense of these different ‘bits’ of information.

After this, we usually have to respond to the information that we have taken in.This requires us to react – either consciously or unconsciously – in the form of an action (movement).
