ACT ONE: PROLOGUE: THE MIRROR CHAMBERMUSIC: OVERTURE (INSTRUMENTAL)At the end of the overture the voice of the storyteller is heard over anoffstage microphone...STORY-TELLER : Once upon a time, there lived a King of Moravia with his wife, Queen Magenta. In the middle of winter, Queen Magenta born her first daughter, called Snow White.While the child was born, the Queen died. So, the King took himself another wife, Morgiana. She had a wonderful mirror on her hand. Not for a long time, Queen Morgiana murdered the King with her knife. So, she owned the Castle. The presense of Morgiana became a disaster for Snow White. And the story just began…..

MUSIC : QUEEN’S ENTRANCE (INSTRUMENTAL)

The FACE appears in the mirror. The MIRROR VOICE is heardthrough an offstage microphone.

SCENE 1

STORY TELLER : The Queen swang her wand toward the mirror. Then a face appeared.

MIRROR VOICE : “Queen Morgiana...Please tell me my task...I'll answer your questions, do whatever you ask”

THE QUEEN : “Mirror, Mirror...on the wall. Who's the fairest one of all?”

MIRROR VOICE : “Great Majesty - you know that every word I say is true. Throughout the land, I promise, there is none as fair as you!”

THE QUEEN : “There! What did I tell you? No-one is lovelier than me!”

MIRROR VOICE : “This is true for now…but time changes things, you’ll see”

THE QUEEN : “My beauty never alters! What changes do you mean? Nobody in my kingdom is as fair as me, Morgiana, the Queen of Moravia!” (laughed)

MIRROR VOICE : “Your stepdaughter, Snow White – of her you should bewareFor she, when she comes of age, could be the “fairest of the fair”.”

THE QUEEN : “Shut up! Begone, old fool, begone! I will not listen to your lies!”

The FACE fades in the mirror

THE QUEEN : “If Snow White grows more beautiful, I’ll make sure she dies!”

STORY TELLER : Queen Morgiana felt so angry. So, she called his loyal guard, Gilliftini. Then, the guard entered the room.

THE QUEEN : “GUARD…!! GUARD…!! COME!!”

THE GUARD : “Yes, my Queen..what can I do for you?” (the Guard stands in front of the Queen’s back)

THE QUEEN : “Bring Snow White to me, now!”

MUSIC: QUEEN’S EXIT (INSTRUMENTAL)

SCENE 2

AT THE SNOW WHITE’S ROOM

THE STORY TELLER : Snow White hears what her step-mother saying. So, she moved to her room quickly and tried to think how to escape from this castle.

SNOW WHITE : “What I have to do? The Queen wants to kill me!”

THE STORY TELLER : a few seconds later, The Guardian has came and entered The Snow White’s room.

(Knock)

SNOW WHITE : “Come!”

THE GUARD : (Talking with scary face) “Princess, you were called by The Queen. She was waiting for you in her room.”

STORY TELLER : Snow White felt unwell. She predicted The Queen would kill her. Finally, she has found an idea.

SNOW WHITE : “Okay, guardian! I would be there.” (Leaving her room calmly)

STORY TELLER : The Guardian led Snow White to The Queen’s room. He has found a way to kill Snow White.

SNOW WHITE : “Guardian, sorry, seems like I have spotted a rat’s dung in the kitchen. Could you go there to clean it? I could go to mom’s room by myself.”

THE GUARD : “Okay, princess! Excuse me.” (Go to the kitchen)

STORY TELLER : After assured The Guardian has disappeared from the corner of corridor, Snow White ran out of the Castle immediately. She decided to escape from her step-mother’s killing scheme. She kept running to a forest.

SCENE 3

IN THE FOREST

STORY TELLER : In the forest, Snow White found a hut. She decided to go there....

The door was a bit opened. Snow white tried to knock it.

(Knock knock knock)

SNOW WHITE : “Hello? Is there anybody home?”

STORY TELLER : The hut seemed empty. Snow White entered it. After entering the room, Snow White found some small beds. Then, she felt asleep on the bed. A few later, the seven dwarfs came in. They were surprised what they have just found.

THE ANGER : “What the hell is it? Who’s sleeping on my bed? How dare her!”

THE JOY : “Look! She’s beautiful, isn’t she?”

THE ANGER : “I don’t care! She’s sleeping on my bed!”

THE WISE : “Stop it! You can make her awaked!”

THE ENVY : “Then why don’t we wake her up?”

STORY TELLER : Suddenly, Snow White wakes up and she surprised of seven dwarfs in front of her.

THE WISE : “Sorry for bothering your sleeping, Princess.”

SNOW WHITE : “Where am I? And who are you?”

THE ANGER : “That should be my question! Who are you? And what are you doing on my bed?!!” (shouted loudly)

THE JOY : “Hsshhh, shut it!”

SNOW WHITE : “Oh..sorry, Sir. I didn’t see it. I thought this was just a hut. I am so sorry!”(While smiling)

THE WISE : “What are you doing here, Princess?”

SNOW WHITE : “I’ve just escaped from my step-mother. She’s Morgiana, Queen of Moravia. She’s very cruel. She tried to kill me. I was really afraid. So, I kept on running to the forest and finally I found this hut. I felt so tired and I slept here. I’m really sorry.”

THE ANGER : “Just say sorry?! You must buy some fruits for us!”

THE WISE : “What’s going on, The Anger? Why did you screaming out like an angry person?”

THE ANGER : “I am angry! See, this girl was grumbling by her own self like an insane girl. Our house was disturbed!”

THE WISE : (Seeing Snow White’s face that expressed regrets) “It’s fine, she has been regret. It’s better to let her stay with us. What a pity, seems like she is tired.”

THE ANGER : “Stay with us? How could! Our house could be destroyed if we let her stay here. NO!!”

THE ENVY : “Agree! Why do we just let her stay with us? Our home is full enough for us to stay!”

THE WISE : “What’s wrong? We just help her.”

THE ANGER : “It’s up to you!”

THE JOY : “Welcome to our hut, Princess!”

THE WISE : “Let me introduce ourselves. The dwarf who was welcoming you is The Joy. The green one is The Forgetful.”

THE JOY : “Welcome! Hey! I am The Joy. Who are you?” (Shake snow White’s hand)

SNOW WHITE : “I am Snow White.” (Give her brightest smile)

THE WISE : “And, the red one is The Anger. She is easy to be angry, but actually she is kind. The dwarf over there the window is The Sleepy, and he is The Doc, and the Sneezy” (his finger shows to each dwarf)

THE JOY : “Why did your Mom try to kill you, princess?”

SNOW WHITE : “Her miraculous mirror said that there’s someone who’s more beautiful than the Queen, and it was me. Therefore, she wanted to kill me. So, she could be the most beautiful woman in the universe.”

THE ANGER : “Unbelievable! Would be killed just because of pretty looking?”

THE WISE : “It’s very dangerous! The Queen will know that the Princess is here. We must do something! We must protect her!”

THE JOY : “Yaa. We must keep the Princess in our home. Agree?”

ALL DWARS : “Agree!”

SNOW WHITE : “Thank you. Nice to know you all!”

STORY TELLER : The dwarfs played with Snow White.

THE ENVY : (try to catch attention) “Wise, have you already prepared foods? I’m very hungry”

THE WISE : “Ouh..you’re right! I’ll see the food stock soon!”

THE ENVY : (closer to anger) “Hey..”

THE ANGER : “Shut up, Envy! I have to clean up my bed. The princess will stay with us”

THE ENVY : (Closer to Joy) “Joy, would you like to play with me?”

THE JOY : “Envy, I’ve to clean up the house. What if you help me?”

THE ENVY : “Why did you choose to play with Snow White? I’m your brother!!” (shouted loudly)

THE JOY : “Envy, the Princess need our help”

THE ENVY : “You…really annoying!”

THE ANGER : “Envy, can you just stop mumbling? I’m sick of your words!”

THE ENVY : “Why not? Okay, I’ll leave!” (ready to go)

THE ANGER : “Where will you go?”

THE ENVY : “I don’t need people who never care about my presence!” (leaving the house)

THE JOY : “Envy..wait!”

THE ANGER : “Stop, Joy. Just let him go!”

STORY TELLER : Although envy left, The Five Dwarfs allowed Snow White to live together in their hut. Snow White was treated well. As a thank greeting to them, Snow White cooked a food, cleaned the house and told a story before they fell asleep. She also keep the house safe while The Five Dwarfs was workingsomewhere. Snow White felt happy to live together with them. She decided to live forever in their hut. Meanwhile, in The Queen’s Castle. The Queen was so very angry. So, she announced something to her guard.

SCENE 4

IN THE CASTLE

THE QUEEN : “Guard, come here!” (scream aloud)

THE GUARD : “Yes, Queen?”

THE QUEEN : “Now, I recommend you to find someone who’s willing to bring Snow White to me!”

THE GUARD : “Alright, Queen. But Majesty,I I found a pathetic dwarf. What if we let him stay here? I think he can help the other workers? ”

THE QUEEN : “Where’s he?”

(The Envy came in)

THE QUEEN : “Who are you?”

THE ENVY : “I’m the Envy, Majesty. I lived in the wolbired forest. My brothers extrude me from home”

THE QUEEN : “It doesn’t matter if you want to be loyal to Moravia. I’ll give you many golds!”

THE ENVY : “Yes, Majesty. I’ll give everything to Moravia’s glory!”

THE QUEEN : “Gilliftiny will tell you what you have to do. Go!”

STORY TELLER : A few hours later, the guard came to the Queen’s room. He brought her a man who’s willing to bring Snow White back.

THE GUARD : “Excuse me, Queen. This is the man.”

STORY TELLER : The Queen turned her body around. She kept an eye on the man. The man was so gorgeous, but he looked like just a huntsman. Then she asked some questions to the man.

THE QUEEN : “So, are you really able to do my task?”

THE PRINCE : “Yes, Queen.”

THE QUEEN : “What’s your name?”

THE PRINCE : “I’m Prince Herman.”

THE QUEEN : “And what’s your strength, Herman?”

THE PRINCE : “Archery ability, Queen”

THE QUEEN : “You know what you have to do now? Find her! dead or live!”

SCENE 5

STORY TELLER : The Prince started to look for Snow White through the forest. He felt very hungry. So, he took his arrow and led it to a doe. While he was leading his arrow to the doe, he heard beautiful voice from somewhere. He looked for the voice came from. He came closer.

THE PRINCE : “What a beautiful view!”

STORY TELLER : The prince was surprised what he has just found. He saw a beautiful woman singing with her guitar. He knew that she’s Snow White. Suddenly, his hand led the arrow to Snow White. But it came undone.

THE PRINCE : “She’s really beautiful!”

STORY TELLER : The Prince came toward Snow White. She was very surprised with his sudden arrival. She entered hut quickly.

THE PRINCE : “Hey..hey..hey wait please!”

SNOW WHITE : “Who are you? What do you want from me? You must be my mother’s guardian, right? Please don’t hurt me! I beg you”

THE PRINCE : “Well, yeah it was….But wait, I never meant to!”

SNOW WHITE : “No…Please don’t tell my mother if I’m here.”

THE PRINCE : “Just relax. I’ll keep you safe. Oh…Let me introduce my self, I’m Herman.”

SNOW WHITE : “I’m Snow White.”

THE PRINCE : “Yeah, I know. As beautiful as your name. By the way, I’ve just heard you sang a song. Nice voice I think”

SNOW WHITE : “Thank you” (while smiling)

THE PRINCE : “Oh…Sorry, I have to go back for hunting in the forest. I will come back as soon as possible. The Queen is very cruel, she will do anything to catch you. Take care of your self”

STORY TELLER : The Prince helped Snow White hide from the Queen. The Queen knew that Herman has betrayed her. Finally, the Queen, with all of her powers, thought how to kill Snow White as soon as possible. At the some point, the prince left

her in the hut to hunt to the forest. Then, the strange old woman came to the dwarfs’s hut.

SCENE 6

THE WISE : “Princess, I and the other dwarfs are going to look for golds. We’ll leave you for a while. If there’s strange person come here, please do not open the door.”

SNOW WHITE : “I’ll keep that in mind, Sir”

STORY TELLER : The seven dwarfs has left the hut, suddenly the strange old woman came. She sold perfumes.

THE QUEEN : “Perfume…perfume…I sell some smelled perfume. Is there anyone want to buy my perfume?”

STORY TELLER : Snow White was cleaning the room while the strange old woman was shouting. She saw from the window. She felt so sorry if she didn’t open the door for the woman.

SNOW WHITE : “I’ve promised not to open the door for a stranger. But…..”

STORY TELLER : Snow White decided to open the door.

THE QUEEN : “Oh..you’re beautiful lady. Please buy my parfume..”

SNOW WHITE : “May I smell it first?” (she takes the parfume)

THE QUEEN : “Yeah, of course”

STORY TELLER : While Snow White smelling the perfume, suddenly she felt so dizzy and she fell on the ground. Then the old woman left her.

THE QUEEN : “Gotcha!”

SCENE 7

STORY TELLER : Snow White awaked. She found the seven dwarfs are beside her.

THE JOY : “What happened to you, Princess?”

SNOW WHITE : “I don’t know. Suddenly, I got a headache when I smelled the perfume that is sold by old woman”

THE WISE : “I’ve told you, Princess. Never open the door for stranger. I’m afraid it was Queen’s order”

THE ANGER : “She’s very stubborn! She can endanger all of us!”

THE JOY : “Stop it, Anger. We’ve promised to protect the Princess from the Queen.”

SNOW WHITE : “I’m really sorry.”

THE WISE : “It’s okay, Princess.”

SCENE 8

IN THE CASTLE

The FACE appears in the mirror

THE QUEEN : “Mirror mirror on the wall. Who's the fairest one of all?”

MIRROR VOICE : “Snow White. The fairest one of all is Snow White.”

THE QUEEN : “You’re lying!”

MIRROR VOICE : “You know. Queen. Every words I say is true. Snow White will be the most beautiful woman if you can’t kill her.”

THE QUEEN : “So…do you think she’s still alive?”

MIRROR VOICE : “Yes. Alive.”

STORY TELLER : The Queen felt so sick of hearing what her mirror are saying. So she called her guard.

THE QUEEN : “Guard, come!”

THE GUARD : “Yes, Queen. What can I do for you?”

THE QUEEN : “You’re so kind and loyal to me. I want you to give take this and put it in front of Snow White’s house.” (give the scarf to the guard)

THE GUARD : “Okay, Queen. I’ll do it on my best”

THE QUEEN : “Leave!”

SCENE 9

STORY TELLER : The guard done the Queen’s order. She has passed forests and rivers. Suddenly, she arrived in Snow White’s hut. The hut was so empty. So, she came closer and put the scarf in front of the door and knocked it. Then, she ran out from the place quickly.

Not for a long time, Snow White opened the door. She saw nothing but the scarf lying on the ground in front of the door. Then, she took it and wore it around her neck. When she was wearing the scarf around her neck, suddenly the scarf tied her tightly and made her hard to breathe.

SNOW WHITE : “What happened? Help please, somebody please help me!”

THE JOY : “Dwarfs, come here quickly!”

THE WISE : “Calm, Princess. I’ll loose it”

STORY TELLER : The Wise succeed to loose the scarf from Snow White’s neck.

THE JOY : “It must be the Queen’s trick! What must we do? We can’t just stay here! We must do something to kill the Queen!”

THE ANGER : “Kill her? The Queen is so powerful. She’d kill us first before we did, you blithering idiot!”

THE WISE : “The Queen will do anything to kill Snow White. But, wait, although she’s powerful, she must have a weakness!”

THE JOY : “Yeah..but what?”

THE WISE : “Do you have any idea, Princess?”

SNOW WHITE : (think hard and everyone’s quite ) “Oh, my father’s sword!”

THE WISE : “What do you mean, Princess?”

SNOW WHITE : “My father ever told me that his sword was so great. The sword only worked for a person with a kindhearted. If it were used by a cruel person, it wouldn’t work for her.”

THE ANGER : “Really? Wow that’s amazing. So, where’s it?”

SNOW WHITE : “It’s hidden by the Queen in the Castle. I don’t know where she hid it”

THE JOY : “Okay..now we should make strategies to enter the Castle”

THE WISE : “It can’t be! The Castle is full of guards!”

THE JOY : “So, you just give up?”

THE WISE : “No…but…”

THE ANGER : “Let’s make strategies!”

STORY TELLER : While they were all making strategies how to enter the Castle, someone out there was knocking the door. Snow White opened the door.”

SNOW WHITE : “Herman! It’s nice to see you come back here!” (while smiling)

THE PRINCE : “Nice to see you, Princess”

SNOW WHITE : “So, what are you doing here? Please come in”

THE WISE : “Who’s there, Princess? Are you okay?”

SNOW WHITE : “Oh yeah..I’m fine. He’s just Herman”

THE PRINCE : “Well, Snow White, I’m going to take you out for a walk. Can you?”

SNOW WHITE : “Of course!”

STORY TELLER : They went out for a walk to the forest. Suddenly, they stopped and Herman took something out of his pocket. It was a fresh apple, and he gave it to her.

THE PRINCE : “Snow White…When I hunt for meals in the forest, I found it. Then, I thought I would give you this when returning home. Would you eat it to me?”

SNOW WHITE : “It’s a nice apple. Of course, I’ll eat it to you.”

STORY TELLER : : Snow White took the apple from Herman’s hand. Then, she ate it. Something wrong happened. Snow white seemed so pale and she fainted. The young Herman turned into a Queen. She laughed!

THE QUEEN : “Now, you can sleep! Forever…..and I will be the most beautiful queen ever!” (she keeps laughing and disappear)

STORY TELLER : The Queen disappeared, and Snow White lied on the ground until the dwarfs came and brought her to home. The dwarfs was so surprised seeing Snow White lied on the ground.

THE JOY : “What happened to the Princess?” (shocked)

THE WISE : (he takes the apple on the ground) “It must be the Queen!”

THE ANGER : “She died. The princess is dead! Look! her heartbeat’s no longer exist!”

STORY TELLER : The three dwarfs succeed to bring Snow White at home. Then they sat in circle around her. They couldn’t do anything, but kept crying. Then, the Prince came, he sat beside Snow White. He began crying.

THE PRINCE : “I was failed to keep you safe. I’m sorry. But you have to trust me, you are the most beautiful woman I’ve seen. Everyone can see it. I promise I’ll do anything to make you alive again. Please, just wait.” (crying and hold the Snow White’s hand)

THE ANGER : “Prince, we have to enter the Castle and find King’s sword. Only with it, we can kill the Queen and save the Princess.”

THE JOY : “The wise, I and the Anger and the prince will face the Queen. And you have to stay here to keep the Princess safe.”

THE PRINCE : “Please take care of her”

THE WISE : “Prince..queen has a potion to relive the death. Could you bring it to Princess?”

THE JOY : “Really?”

THE PRINCE : “But, the castle is too wide! I’m afraid I can’t handle”

SCENE 10

IN THE CASTLE

THE QUEEN : “Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the fairest one of all?”

MIRROR VOICE : “Of course, your step-daughter is the fairest one of all. Although you’ve killed her. Her beauty will never alter. She’s still the most beautiful woman in the world.”

THE QUEEN : “You!! You’re betrayer!” (feel angry and she break the mirror with the sword)

THE GUARD : “Queen, queen… Something happened, there’s a chaos outside. Herman and his dwarfs come here and want to against you!”

THE QUEEN : (give the sword to the Guard) “Kill them!”

INSIDE THE CASTLE

THE GUARD : “How dare you come here, dwarfs! You want to die, huh?”

THE ANGER : “I don’t care. Let’s fight!”

(Suddenly, The Envy came)

THE ENVY : “Let me do him!”

THE ANGER : (shocked) “You??”

THE ENVY : “You don’t bring any guns? Okay.”

(The Envy come forward, and hit Anger’s hand and give a punch to his face)

THE ANGER : “You’re coward and loser! You’re not my brother!” (said angrily)

STORY TELLER : Then, The Anger and The Envy died in their fighting.

THE PRINCE : (suddenly comes) “Take the Anger go away from this place. I’ll face Gilliftini and the Queen by myself.”

THE JOY : “But…”

THE PRINCE : “Just go! Now!”

STORY TELLER : Herman looked for the Queen’s room. Finally, he found a room with a dark view. He entered the room. There, he found Gilliftini and the Queen. Then, they both looked at him.

THE PRINCE : “Hey, you losers! Face me!”

THE GUARD : “What the hell are you doing here? You dare to face me? Hahaha”

THE QUEEN : “Kill him”

STORY TELLER : The battle happened between them. Finally, Herman could kill Gilliftini by stabbing the sword into her stomach.

THE QUEEN : “You make me very angry!” (Fighting with Herman)

STORY TELLER : Herman could kill The Queen with the sword on her right cheest. Then the Queen died. Herman felt so satisfied and he smiled. He took the poiton on Queen’s waist and brought it to home.

SCENE 11

IN THE GARDEN

THE PRINCE : “Now, we can live happily ever after. Would you marry me?”

STORY TELLER : In the Garden that full of flowers, Herman and Snow White were talking to. They both smiled and looked at each other. Now there’s nothing that could separate them. Under the same skies, they told about promises and loyalty. They live happily ever after. And this is how the story ends….
