Narmada Institute of Technical Training (NITT) Dahej

GNFC-NARDES has established State-of-The-Art Vocational Training Centre at Dahej in

collaboration with GIZ IS (Govt. of Germany) with the prime objective to provide Training and

Employment. The center is equipped with Modern facilities like IT enabled Multimedia

Classrooms, Modern Training Labs of international standards. The total planned capital

expenditure for this project is approximately Rs. 3.70 Crore over a period of three years in a

phase wise manner. The center has commenced with Two courses and will operate 18 courses

over a period of 3 years.

An extensive Mobilization drive was conducted in five villages of Vagra Taluka- Rahiyad, Suva,

Galenda, Koliyad and Vadadala from 17th

August- 29th

August 2013 in which total 129

candidates were enrolled. Due to the over whelming response received to the enrollment drive,

NARDES has commenced two batches each of Fitting and Welding course of 30 students from

these enrolled students instead of one batch each.

The inaugural ceremony of NITT- Dahej was conducted on 23rd

September 2013 which was

attended by around 300 villagers from these villages. The ceremony was attended by dignitaries

like Shri BR Patel(CEO-TDI, Dahej), Shri A T Patadia (ED- TDI, Dahej), Shri PS Vayeda(GM-

GNFC), Shri Shrikant Bansal (Country Head GIZ IS) and Shri N Gohil ( Sarpanch Rahiyad).

The dignitaries from the dais threw light on the importance and benefits of the state of the art

vocational training center established by GNFC in their speeches.

80 % of the candidates of BPO domestic batch of NITT- Bharuch have got placement with

Aditya Birla Minacs and were felicitated during the ceremony.
