Location Arab world: 23 countries in North Africa and the Middle East. Population: over 350 million Primary language: Arabic

Religion Islam: over 1.2 billion adherents and is the second largest and

fastest growing religion in the world.

Beliefs Muslims believe in only one

God, called “Allah.” They believe Christ was a

great prophet who was born of a virgin and performed miracles.

They reject Jesus as the son of God, his death on the cross, and his resurrection.

Most Muslims have never read the Gospel. They respect Christian scriptures but

generally believe they have been corrupted. They believe the true revelation of God is

preserved only in their holy book, the Quran.

Five Pillars of Faith Confession of a creed Prayer five times a day Fasting during the month of

Ramadan Pilgrimage to Mecca at least

once in their lifetime Giving/tithing to the poor.

Pray for God to break down barriers and open hearts to the Gospel

Pray for wise and sensitive messengers to be sent to them to share the Word of God

Pray for God to raise up people to pray

Pray for Arab Christians to be strong and bold in their faith, despite ostracism

Pray for new believers to be courageous as they start their faith journey

Pray for believers who suffer persecution

Pray for Biblical and reproducing churches to be planted

Pray for satellite, radio, internet, and other effective media programs to touch Muslim hearts

Pray for Jesus to reveal himself in dreams and visions

1 Timothy 2:1-6 “I urge that supplications,

prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people. . . . This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all.”

Why the Arab world is important to CSPC Many of the governments restrict Christian evangelism and punish

conversion. Believers are isolated and can only meet in secret.

Why the Arab world is important to CSPC There are still only a few known followers of Jesus. Some suffer ostracism from family and society.
