What‘s behind:

Naceras Experts developed Pearl Q3 based on the latest Zirconia generation. The 6Y-PSZ Zirconia has a cubic phase that significantly reduces birefringence compared to other Yttria stabilized Zirconia on the market. Light transmission and consequently the translucency has been drastically increased.

Birefringence is the physical property of optical materials that have two refractory indexes in different polarizationplaned and thus divide the light rays in two angles. In polycristals as machineable Zirconia, this lead to increasedscattering and opacity.

Nacera® Pearl Q3 Multi-Shade redefines the accuracy of color and fit of CAD/CAM restoration materials. The new high-yttrium-stabilised zirconium oxide series, is added to its proven Nacera Pearl Multi-Shade system, not only offers increased, ultra-high translucency, but also extremely natural light dynamics and color reproduction that precisely matches the Vita color system. The photo-optical properties of the new high-performance ceramic are achieved through a range of factors, including a special chemical com-position that results in a tetragonal-cubic phase. The resulting optimized light refraction greatly increases dispersion and radiance, helping ceramists more easily fabricate esthetic masterpieces in zirconia. Nacera® Pearl Q3 Multi-Shade now provides technicians with yet another premium material for esthetic, CAD/CAM-based dental prostheses – with ultra-high translucence, and precisely defined color accuracy. The new cubic 6Y-PSZ high-performance ceramic from Nacera’s Multi-Shade family relies on a new, proprietary color blending and calibration method to precisely measure and adjust color-dependent value and chroma. At the same time, the finely flowing color gradations from the tooth neck to the edge give the dental prostheses – either fully anatomical or anatomically reduced – a natural color character. These improvements make it easier for ceramists to predictably produce highly esthetic zirconium oxide restorations. Thanks to selective control of grain size and density, light transmission and translucency have been further increased.With a bending strength of 700 +/- 120 MPa, Nacera® Pearl Q3 Multi-Shade can be used not only to produce highly esthetic and durable monolithic single tooth restorations, but also three-segment bridges. The new Nacera® Pearl Multi-Shade milling blanks are nothing less than an economical and sophisticated systemfor creating full contour crowns. Available in the shades A, B, C, and D to achieve most common tooth colors. Theirapplication is quite simple: Depending on the height positioning of the crown, for example, the colors A3, A2 or A1can be attained in an A-Blank. The same is true for the other shades. The structural height of 18 mm ensures thatsufficient space for vertical shifting is available. We have surpassed Cubic Zirconia in the desire for a strong, but highly translucent zirconium oxide. NacerasBlue X, applied to Nacera® Pearl 3Y-TZP Zirconia, exceeds the esthetic properties of lithium disilicate by allowingtechnicians to brush into place the right amount of translucency only where desired. The translucency will increaseup to 8 % on Nacera® Zirconia. The advantages continue with improvements in strength. Nacera® Pearl Zirconiatreated with Blue X has still a flexural strength of 1.200 MPa 4-Point Bending Strength: Almost double Cubic Zirconia,and up to 3x that of lithium disilicate!

Nacera® Clean is a cleaning powder for the combustion chamber of the sintering furnace. Damage from colorsolvents on heating rods and sediments in the combustion chamber cause discoloration or contamination of thesintering objects. In its initial application, the reactive Nacera® Clean takes these impurities from the furnace atmosphere, absorbs them, and cleans the oven permanently. Regular use provides genuine, color-consistent sintering results, impedes re-deposits in the combustion chamber, and protects the life of heating rods.

For basic cleaning we recommend the Starter Kit, which contains 200g. To keep the sintering furnace clean, usethe bundle packages of 30 g regularily at least once a week.

What is ceraMotion® One Touch?The ceraMotion® One Touch pastes are manufactured using a special high-tech process. The particle size of thepastes have been adapted to suit the requirements for the staining technique (2D) and to offer the possibility ofcreating an individual morphology in the incisal area and in the occlusal surface area (3D).

• Higher sintering temperature will generate grain growth and raises the translucency.

• The grain growth will decrease the strength and increase the translucency.

• The result of a higher sintering temperature will be a bigger grain size and therefore a greater low temperature degradiation.

• Zirconium is a poor heat conductor. The transport of energy in and out of the material takes time. (Lower the heat rates for massive constructions)

• Slow cooling can improve translucency and will work against tensions in the material.
