    Relay Pulse Module WZF-P2

Module with potential-free pulse outputs for the connection of ultrasonic heat

meters SONOGYR energy to systems and remote display units for billingpurposes.

The relay pulse module is used for passing volume- and energy-proportional pulses

    from a SONOGYR

energy heat meter for billing purposes to systems or remote displayunits.

Delivery of heat meter data in the form of continuous pulses. The pulses are volume-

and energy-proportional and can also be delivered depending on tariffs or depending on

    heating or cooling energy.

The relay pulse module enables the heat meter to communicate with

    the billing system SYNERGYR

the control and supervisory systems UNIGYRVISONIK

remote display units using pulse handling interfaces

other devices and systems equipped with pulse handling interfaces

When ordering, please give type reference WZF-P2.

The module can be supplied either fitted in the heat meter or as a separate item. For

details, please contact the Landis & Staefa sales office nearest you.

The relay pulse module must be plugged into the heat meter, which automatically

identifies the type of module fitted.

The module has two relay pulse outputs.

    Preset is the delivery of

    volume-proportional pulses at terminals 51 and 52 (OUT1) energy-proportional pulses at terminals 53 and 54 (OUT2)

pulses having a pulse length of 54 ms

Type of pulse, pulse parameters and pulse valencies can be changed with the service

    unit.

The pulses can be evaluated with a suitable device (refer to Technical data).

The relay pulse module is of plug-in design. It is plugged into the front of the heatmeter's electronic unit whose cover must be removed for plugging in.

The module consists of baseplate and printed circuit board, which also carries the

    connection terminals.

The pulse outputs are connected to the electronic unit via relays (potential-free). The

terminals of the pulse outputs cannot be mixed up.

The regulations for the use of heat meters must be complied with!

The regulations for electrical installations must be complied with!

All notes contained in the heat meter's data sheet must be observed

The relay pulse module may only be used in electrical circuits where the complete system is isolated from the mains supply by a safety

    transformer (SELV circuit)

that are designed as safety extra low voltage circuits with earthing (PELV)

When using a relay pulse module, the heat meter must be powered by a battery

module WZF-BD or mains module WZF-NE or WZF-VE

The connection between relay pulse module and pulse receiver must be established

    with a flexible two-wire control cable having a cross-sectional area of max. 2.5 mm2

and being heat-resistant up to at least 105 C. The outside diameter of the control

cable must be 4...6 mm, the diameter of the standard rubber grommet used

Calibration labels on the heat meter may not be damaged or removed! If they are, the

heat meter's warranty and certification become void. User seals may only be removed

by authorized staff for service purposes. They must be replaced

The module is supplied complete with mounting and commissioning instructions

To fit the module, the cover of the electronic unit must be removed, which means that

the user seals must be broken

Within 30 seconds, the heat meter identifies the type of module used and starts

delivering the pulses whose parameters have been set.

With the help of the service unit, the heat meter can deliver test pulses:

At output OUT1: five test pulses

At output OUT2: ten test pulses

If error code appears, the heat meter's power supply module is not suited for the

    application.
