    MY TRIP TO GALICIA.

    THE REASON I DID

Last year, in September I travelled with my girlfriend to Galicia, in the north-west Spain. I decided to do this

trip because I promised If I finished my degree I had to do something mind-changing, so my friends

recommended me to do“ El camino de Santiago and my girlfriend wanted to come with me.

WHAT IS “EL CAMINO DE SANTIAGO”

El camino de Santiago is a group of pilgrims routes that connect Santiago de Compostela with some

European cities. This routes come together at the tomb of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela/ in the

    same point.

There are different ways to do el Camino de Santiago, on foot, by bike and riding a horse. We did on foot

because we did not have bikes or an horses. We chose el Camino Ingles, because we only had a week to do

    MY ROUTINE

Every day we stayed in an accommodation in each village at night. We woke up early because the ways

were very long. When We arrived to the villages, first We had lunch in different places, like restaurants,

mesons, etc. Then we looked for the accommodations, where we washed our clothes and We had shower/

We showered, etc. After finished we walked around the town to take some pictures and in some villages

    We bought presents.

    THE TRAIN TRIP TO SARRIA

Our trip lasted a week, the trip started on Monday and finished on Sunday. We travelled by train to Galicia.

The first leg of the trip was from Malaga to Madrid, and the second was from Madrid to a town called Sarria.

When we arrived to Sarria we walked for an hour to stretch our legs.

    HOW I ARRIVED TO SANTIAGO

When we arrived to Santiago we met our friend Raúl. My friend Raúl had studied in Malaga for 15 years.

We visited de main street of Santiago de Compostela and We had lunch in a typical Galician restaurant,

where We tasted different dishes, like octopus, meat, etc.

We also visited the Cathedral, where We saw an incredible mass and the tomb of Saint James. At night,

Raul took us to the train station since the trip was finished. We had to come back to Malaga,

    CONCLUSION

I have learnt a lot of things in this trip/ a lot of for this trip On the one hand I recommend this trip to thepeople that have a stressful life and need to relax; that is a very healthy for the mind. In the another hand,

thanks to this trip I got to know my girlfriend better, and I could see my fiend Raúl because I missed him.
