My evaluation of attracting my audience

My evaluation of attracting my audienceOnce I had researched into the trends and habits of my targeted audience I discovered that there is a widespread interest in the consumption of other thriller genre media texts. For example films like The Purge and Hanna were very popular with my targeted audience of 15 25 year olds therefore, decided to analyse the openings to these media texts in hope to take inspiration.I found that recurring themes in these texts revolved around, violence, conflict and moral injustice. Therefore I decided to take form my research and base my narrative around a mixture of these themes.I also looked at representing my audience in the image of my main character. The female audience were particularly targeted in this decision as I chose to cast a woman dominant in appearance and posture, this decision was made to represent the strength in women who have worked in the police force.
