Creative task

• The creative task exam is on the 23rd/24th of April

• If you have forgotten you time please come and see Mrs Sanders

• You will have 5 minutes to look and listen to the 6 stimuli and 45 minutes to compose

• You can do this on your instrument and record it, or on sibelius

• Do at least one practice in Easter- papers on showmyhomework

Typical music features

Listen to lots of Baroque and classical music and try to identify the differences between each era

AOS 3 dance music

• Use the study guide and bitsize to revise:• Key musical features (especially rhythm)• The county/dates• And how the music complements the dance

AOS4 descriptive music

• Listen to as much descriptive music as possible and practice writing HOW the music represents the story/mood

• If you are finding this hard break it down into musical elements:• Pitch• Rhythm/tempo• Dynamics• Harmony• Structure• Phrasing• Instrument techniques/compositional techniques
