1) What has the photograph been taken for? – The photograph has been taken for the music magazine ‘Q’.

2) What type of photography is it and how do you know? – It is done in a studio by a photographer and I know this based on the background and

lighting. It is also a portrait shot.

3) Discuss the framing and what type of shot and angle has been used and why? – The type of shot used is mid range shot as it from the knees

upwards and doesn’t show Gaga’s feet.

4) Discuss the composition – due to the picture being shot in a studio, the background would be a plain white background and she is in the middle

of the page.

5) Discuss the focus – there is a sharp focus and the picture is of a very good quality and taken from a distance to get her body into the picture.

6) How has the mise-en-scene been used? – the setting is a studio, there isn't any props and Gaga is wearing matching gloves and pants and quite notably no top. Makeup has been used a lot and she is open and quite

fierce and in your face with it.

7) How does it promote or market the event/product? – it gets people talking about Lady Gaga and also the magazine because they have the

interview people would be talking about.

8) How does it appeal to it’s target audience? – fans of Lady Gaga will buy it and so will fans of Q because of how much the enjoy reading the

publication.

9) What story does the photograph tell? – it tells that Gaga is willing to let it all be out there and won’t hold back.

10) How will it make people want to buy your magazine? – people will want to see what Lady Gaga has to say.
