The design approach was to combine between the form of the smooth moun-tain contours and the water curvy surface. The design team worked in two differ-ent proposals.

This is was the option I worked on creating a mass study models, material test-ing and texturing. As the time become tight, I was the one to work on the final 3D model since I was the on who did the material re-search and the mass model.

I also worked on other resi-dential projects with MTAA

This was a digital design stu-dio, since this the case I tried to follow some of the famouse architects designing that way and kind of liked Daniel Libe-skind work. The basic facilites of the project will emphisize the high tech. It contains an exhibition, experimental labs, media shops in addition to an Omni theater and the services core. The omni theater and the ex-hiption has merged into one space, thus the omni theater act as an exhipit as it play mov-ies inside. The core respect the site and lead to the water front by twisting it. Both shops and experimental are crashed to-gether.

An additional zone added the exhipition to achieve balance on the form from both side-sand to create more space for temporary exhiption hall inter-secting with the previuse per-meinant exhipition.

The intention here was to derive char-acteristics from traditional architecture and moderenize it. There are two ap-proaches acting in harmony around, the modernized look and materials as well as the traditional house imbeded nside as an exhibit as well as a tradition-al bazaar outside the construction.

The modern part containing the galler-ies and the educational and adminis-tration facilities. The old part consist of Traditional House and old Bazaar or market.

The differentiation between the two where by two geometry cross at each other providing smooth transition from modernity to the past not the opposite because it takes you from today as you know it gradually to the past passing through an actual traditional house.

After finishing the journey inside the gal-lery and you moved to the past, you will end up in an outdoortraditional bazaar to live the real life of the old society and compare it with the real life today.

    Dr. Arif Kamal

The main idea of the project was to create a unique sym-bolic livable apartment build-ing for mid-income people with penalty of open spaces and common facilities with ultimate security.

Here where merging idea of the outdoor with the in-door toke place when all the entries and the stairs looking toward the internal private yard with kids facilities and greenery environment.

The simple square shape transformed into a cube based on the program to have two apartment type and size. Thus two volumes were designed and arranges as a lego game creating pro-jections and balconies. The image of simple plain cubes with the scattering is mak-ing an interesting look for the building.
