MUNICIPAL ASSESSOR’S OFFICE Annual Accomplishment Report

CY 2011 MAIN FUNCTION

Appraise and assess real properties regardless of location either taxable or exempt. Real Properties shall be appraise and assessed for taxation purposes in accordance with the approved schedule of values on the basis of actual use and its current and fair market values.

Assessment Management Record Section

Establish ownership records through tax declarations within the Municipality. To cancel or to eliminate assessment of properties either destroyed or exempt. To reflect increase or decrease for any improvements in the property assessments. Maintain and establish permanent records of the office.

Property Appraisal and Assessment Section

To established a systematic method of assessment. It includes the appraisal of all items of real property at current fair market value and to implement the uniform application of assessment levels for the assessed value of the real property.

Tax Mapping Section

Prepares, install and maintain a system of Tax Mapping showing graphically all properties subject for taxation including exempt. Act as custodian of all maps and records pertaining to tax mapping activities.

TAX MAPPING

a. Conducted verification and actual site inspections on the application for the issuance of new tax declarations under the provisions of S.P. Resolution No. 99-56 of the Provincial Governor and various Free Patents issued by the DENR-CAR;

b. Rendered technical assistance to researchers and lot owners regarding their lots

and tax declarations previously projected on the base maps and sketch plans

submitted to the office;

c. Projected/plotted various sketch plans submitted for taxation purposes and the

continuing maintenance of the previously prepared Barangay Base Maps.

d. Prepared and submitted monthly/quarterly and other assessment Reports to

concerned agencies and offices.

e. Attended Seminars/Conferences conducted by BLGF and other agencies.

f. Attended Court Hearings to testify with regards to tax declarations.

g. Report on Real Property Assessments. (See attached)
